    Oh great. Another gun for my "must get" list. ;-)

      Your post brought me back to Marine Corps boot camp, September of 1962. One night after Taps and lights out our drill instructors had us put blankets over the barracks windows so that we could work on refinishing the stocks on our M14s. Senior DI Staff Sgt. Pike had the Platoon do a similar stripping and re-staining and polishing of our dress shoes. Staff Sgt. Pike was into his platoons always winning the series drill competition. Drilling was his thing even over how well we did at the rifle range compared to other platoons.
