My experiences with Sigs is quality. Good pair of firearms there 2t2. Given the absence of a double stack Kahr, I find a good DA/SA acceptable for that role. Bring me up to speed. That's a decocker lever I see there right? That's the way to go for carry IMHO. Unless you are already carrying 1991's. You can choose right? Decocker or Cocked and Locked?

P.S. I'm really fond of my Sig 1911. Very nice gun for under $1000 street price.

I think you caught the Signess, I'm contemplating another one myself after I bought my first P229. Thinking of a P224 or P239.

B4uqzme, you can carry it hammer down, then have the DA first shot, then decock after if needed. There is no safety on a Sig P series. The great benefit of the DA/SA is the light target like trigger pull after the first shot. The DA pull is about 8-10lbs then 4-5lbs SA trigger pull.

What Dan said...yes it is a decocking lever. I don't carry either, too big and heavy lol. But I know folks who do!

They are both great shooters. I do need to get used to the Sig trigger though...can you tell I'm RH and very left eye dominant? Lol

This was the maiden trip with the 220.

The 220 is a superb gun. I have 2 Sigs in our bedroom and I chose the DA/SA because if a window breaks in the middle of the night, you have a huge adrenaline dump. I want that extra weight on the trigger in that situation.

^^^ good thinking. There are two guns in my nightstand: 1) whatever I was carrying that day and 2) a 40sw CZ DA/SA with a couple of extra mags. (at least most of the time ). A Sig would do just as well.

I'm partial to SIGs, there are five of them in my family. Two P220s, two P226s, and one P228. Nice pictures and thanks for sharing.
