Colt Series 70 Government .45 in stainless ($878 delivered from Bud's - they jacked the price up $49 one hour after I ordered it):

      Very nice.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Tombstone Tactical has the blued version for $788 and no shipping. (M1991 series 80) I don't need another 1911...I don't need another 1911... But if I did give in it would probably be for a Colt.

The 1991 model is the 80 series, not the 70 like I bought. Impact want $15 more than Bud's:

Excellent. Colt has stepped up its game in the last 10 years and they are better than ever. That's the consensus on the Colt forum.

My new 1911 is very nice. Too bad Colt had to file for Chapter 11 because of bad management & a hostile looting of the company's cash by the owner.

Then theres that. If you want one best not wait too long or it won't happen. Although I sure theres a huge inventory out there and the hoarding has already begun I reckon.

I've had a series 80 stainless Colt for about 4 years now; can't remember every having a problem with it. Mine has the dimpled barrel ramp Colt was using then, does your new one have the same?

                      Regards,
