Like most of you I have a list of guns that are sort of lifetime goals. Stuff I want to own before I kick off. Some of them are too expensive or rare to be realistic. I work on it though, and have had a handful of successes. I knocked off one at the end of 2016 with the arrival of a new tax stamp: the AKS74U, or "Krinkov" as most Americans call it. Here is a picture. It started as an Arsenal SLR-104UR. My smith did the cut and crown after the stamp showed. It has very little recoil, and is a lot of fun to shoot. Hopefully when the weather warms up I can get some serious range time with it. Now if someone would just import affordable Dragunovs I could knock that one off my list too...

Nice. Wait till Barth sees that. The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
Want to see what will be the end of our country as we know it???

One reason I don't have one, is there are so many variations etc. Those both look very similar to me.
Maybe someday I'll just go for it and hope for the best.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

They are both Bulgarian Arsenal Short Gas System AK74s.
In many ways very similar.
Major Differences?
1) Actual stock legal SBR vs pistol with a brace
2) 8.5" barrel with a real booster vs 10.5" barrel with a fake booster.
3) 5.45x39 vs 5.56x45 NATO
I might be missing something - LOL
John can correct me...
Mine is 100% Bulgarian (other than the brace) no 922r

Congrats on the new rifle John! I like what you've done with it
I also like what you've done with your "pistol" Barth
I hear ya about saving up to buy the bucket, I just traded something in to make my latest firearm acquisition.Originally posted by Bawanna View PostI'm saving up to buy the bucket, I'll have to work on the list later I guess.
....
As you are also a brother disciple of .45ACP, I have a confession to make: if I had the bucket or a list, there would be a 9mm pistol on it

I'd love to have a SIG P210 Super Target. It's one of them pistols that sings to me.
I just can't decide which flavor:
