Forty or so years ago or so I was in my salad days and income was fortunately not a huge worry, fur coats were desired accessories for ladies that lived in colder climes. I was able to make sure lovely wife was always very appropriately dressed for winter with a variety of dead animals to cover her upper torso. In fact I remember being greeted home from work a few times by her just wearing one of those coats, a pair of very high heels, and a sexy smile, so my purchase was not all for her benefit.

Then came PETA and the paint throwers.

After consenting or having a garage sale on the condition I had nothing to do with it, I returned from work one day and watched three fur coats disappear and $75 put in my wife's hand. Months later when I was up in the garage attic for something, I noticed my old archery stuff had been moved. Upon asking I discovered, two dozen aluminum arrows, a dozen flu flu arrows, leather quiver, and a Bear semi recurve with case had brought in a fat $25.

There is a moral to this story, I just can't think of it right now. Yes, we are still married, 50 years come September.

Wow! That's why I still have a LOT of STUFF! My pricing at garage sales is NOT to just GET RID of stuff!

I talked with some great folks, petted a few friendly dogs, checked out some nice Jeeps, generally having a real good morning. I bought a hollow ground screwdriver set and a couple of cool handmade mugs... setting myself back about $13. Then at the last house on the loop, I see a SIGPro 2022 in 40 (with a .357 barrel) sitting on a table under my neighbor's watchful eye. We chat a bit, but I'm just that interested in his SIG (I had a 2022 in 9mm; it shot well, but I traded it for something else). He then says he has something in the safe he'd let go of if I was interested. Well, I was interested enough:

So, I now have a full size 9mm USP to compliment my 45. It looks to be in pretty good shape and came with 6 magazines, two holsters, and some magazine pouches. My neighbor seemed pleased with his 5 new Benjamins.
Now, I have to see how it shoots.
