Ok, Ok, you talked me into it.
I own a CZ SP01, my favorite 9mm range gun, I shoot it well. From my post in another thread, you know I'm considering selling my G26 and buying a G19, gen 5. Well...this post has thrown a curve in my plans.
Did I mention I love shooting the CZ? Anyway, bought a CZ PCR off of gunbroker today, going to sell the G26 to finance the purchase, and forgo the Gen 5, G19. I think I'll be happier in the long run.

      I think you'll be happier too but I won't be. No G19 for bawanna I don't guess.

I too am eager to jump on the CZ band wagon. Just kicking all the different models and variations around. Every time I think I finally got it pinned another pops up that looks appealing. Never seems to end.

          Bawanna,
If you like, I can save some brass, and a used patch or two, you can sniff them when no one is looking.

That just might help get me through.

Ironic, this afternoon I got a CZ catalog and some brochures at work. Somebody has my number i think.
Now I'm back on the PCR want list...........................I better stick with the brass and patches to sniff. I'm not shy, don't care if anyone is watching.

Oh yeah, the PCR is sweet.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Well, the new grips made it on time and, Oh My, they are thin which is nice. Nice pics below are from my wifes phone. Ugly ones are my tablet.

I had wondered if they would be actual carbon fiber or just G10 with a carbon fiber pattern. Well they look like actual carbon fiber because they don't have the same texture or layering of my other G10 grips. Oh, and did I mention they are THIN? I'll put these through the wringer for durability over the next few weeks. They have a 60 day no question return period so if they are going to break we are going to find out.

                    Here is a before :

                    Here are the new grips:

                    Back side:

                    Thickness (or thinness actually):

                    On the pistol:

                    Ooooo... they feel good....

Actual width of the grips are the same as the widest part of the frame minus any controls. Before was 1.38 in. Now 1.12 in. :

Dang those are thin ain't they. I much prefer thin grips myself. Gotta use good stuff if you go that thin. Most wood won't cut the mustard.

                      Stabilized, G10, Micarta.

Those look great and the screw alone was worth the price of admission. Well done.

Wish I was there so I could shoot it off your back porch. Life long dream of mine as well.

Come on over. We could shoot a couple of mags before we hit the road to flee from the city police.

Well, thin is good as you can get the hand wrapped way around the grip. Made it to the range for a bit before thunderstorms shut me down. Pic is 50 rounds from 4 mags at about 10 yards. Shots were about 1-2 seconds apart so with reloads (not dropping mags to the ground shot) them all in about 2 minutes or so. Except for the 1 high flyer and one low under the slide I'm happy.

Was able to shoot about 200 more rounds today and its smoothing out real nice.

Whoa, nice shooting! I'd say that your P-01 is working out quite nicely for you
Thanks for all the excellent photos of the grips. They do look good.
Something I've wondered about with the really thin grips is if there is any discomfort where the frame is stepped at the top rear of the grips?
Regardless, it looks like you have a real keeper there
                          Regards,

Looking closely I see they are attach like a Hi Power. A little hook on the front and then the one screw in the back to hold them in place.

Very tricky to make. Made a few Brownings and one other that was similar, can't remember what it was now.

My guess on Greg's question and only a guess since I don't own a CZ (YET) is being the web or your hand is the contact point it wouldn't be bothersome.
I anxiously await a solid answer to that question.

I was actually a little concerned about the same thing when I ordered them. In fact there is no discomfort that feel at all and to me it feels better. The pistol seems to settle farther back into the web of the hand making the legnth to the trigger a little shorter and the hand ride higher on the grip. All of which is good. So no complaints at all.

The grip actually feels about like the size of the CW45 which is about one of my favorites sizes.

That's super. I can see a set of those in Greg's future. I'm pretty sure he's a fan of slim / thin too.
