This article is 5 years old, but… I actually have a Zen Tactilite T2 50BMG upper. I can say that the amount of damage to the lower receiver is “none”, as the forces go directly backwards into the (fixed) stock (no buffer). I use a Magpul PRS stock with a Pachmayr recoil pad. Very manageable, and after quite a few rounds, zero signs of wear on the lower.

I guess you "ask the man that owns one"...
