  • CZ custom shadow tac II

What are thoughts on a CZ custom shadow tac II? I only have the Rami and it has been good. I can get this one for a trade for a good price, I think. Any thoughts?

I’m not your CZ expert, but I can help you justify a gun purchase any time.

    That thing is awesome.

If you can trade into it and you think it’s a good price, get it. I’m biased but I can’t think of anything that you could possibly trade that would be nicer than that. But again I am biased.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Ok Mr. Yqtszhj, maybe you can help me. With all them CZ's you got a little taste of a bunch. I've leaned towards making the 97 or the Shadow my first CZ pistol, I have a CZ rifle but no pistols.

All that being said, iffen you was to only get to keep one, which one would it be? I know it's a stupid question, you can keep them all and 10 more if you like but what's your favorite of the bunch?

My opinion is get the 97B. 9mm is run of the mill but the 97 is the only 45 cal. that CZ produces.

That is a really really hard question because they all have a role. I don’t have the 97 so I can’t speak to that one, but being all steel it probably wouldn’t make my “only one” list.

If I really had to choose from what I have in 9mm, I’d keep the P-01 most likely. Alloy frame (not polymer or steel) with a decocker which I like. Holds 14 rounds with the factory mags. Light and small enough to carry but still shoots really good. It didn’t come with night sights which I wish it had but the sights are dead on so I don’t want to mess with them. Takes standard CZ 75 mags which is a plus.

If I had the CZ PCR, which is basically the P-01 without a rail, that one may be the keeper but the P-01 went through some serious testing to get NATO approved which may mean something for reliability. Plus with the rail a light is an option if I wanted one.

It wouldn’t be right without pics now would it.....

I'm on the right track, the PCR has been high on my want list. I still want a 97 of course just cause of the caliber but it probably wouldn't get carried much.

Would take me awhile to get used to DA/SA again but I'd figure it out. I too like a decocker.

I recently sold my Shadow 2. It's a lovely gun, but too dang heavy for me. I'd be more than pleased to find a custom Shadow like that one as it's replacement.

My SIG P210 has made parting with some of my CZ pistols less traumatic (perhaps, even encouraged it some). That said I doubt the remaining ever go anywhere, especially the Phantom. It's easily my favorite of them.

Aw, what the heck, here's the home-wrecker as well:

I've been watching those home wreckers myself ever since you got yours. Me thinks your a bad influence which is actually not a bad thing but costly.

Get both. I updated my post, meant to say P-01 instead of SP-01 which is the big brother. That’s what I get when sneaking in gun forum post when I’m supposed to be working

Ok, I'll search for both, that Sig 210 just blows my dress up clean around my ears. That's a beautiful gun right there, it might just top the search list which is often times why I don't have a CZ yet, the list keeps changing. So many guns, so little time, so little money.
