I had absolutely no problems with any ammo I tried in this pistol... boringly, NO malfunctions... just a joy to shoot and even more so with these new sights.

I won't win any small group awards, but I'm mainly interested in reliably and quickly getting rounds down range into Center of Mass. My 15-yard targets may seem pretty tame, but it's an improvement for me because I can aim better and point better with these sights.

I got all of my PM45 7-round magazine on the paper at 15 yards a few times, but with much more effort. I didn't do things much differently than with the 7-yard targets... maybe a half second longer "aim" sometimes.

I think that the sights shoot to point of aim using the top of the Dot, rather than the top of the post... aligned with the top of the rear sights. The impact did seem to appear under or inline with the dot.

Just kidding. I have a XDM .45 with TruGlo TFO's and a Powder River Standard trigger kit. It is without question a "battle gun" It sits ten feet from where I am typing right now. Locked and Loaded.

Thanks, guys. My wife doesn't understand why I "need" so many guns or need to talk about them, etc. on the computer. It's one of my more expensive hobbies, but I enjoy all of this.

I hope that I never NEED any of these weapons, but I feel better that I don't have to worry about trying to get them if I do need them.

This "battle pistol" definitely fills a niche that I worried about. I love my Kahrs, but this pistol has been flawless and with these sights on it, I'm feeling ready for just about anything... but I hope that it's always just a "range toy" and ready for home defense... it's a great shooter... much better in accuracy than I can manage.

I still need a good holster -- gun show next weekend... 21/22 -- and I have magazine holders on order from Tactical Kydex for 2" and 1 1/2" belts... double-mag holders. I want to put together a belt with holders for gear, too, so it's easy to grab, if needed.

This gun is easy to take apart and clean, too... just great, but not for CCW... that's for my Kahrs.

Excellent review and great pics as well.I used to have an XD9 Tactical and I really loved that gun and needless to say it was a very soft shooter.Now that the XDM's have been released you can find great deals on the XD's.

The gun very dangerous i hate guns and but i read about this gun its a very powerful gun.

I have an 45 XDM compact, thing feels huge but isn't too bad to carry. I like how it shoots but I hear a trigger job is worth the money.
