  • OK I lied (Zimer case)

I said to some here I would not post or start a thread regarding the Zimmerman case because it usually goes racial and I really don't like seeing us go there. BUT I saw this and was very confused. Perhaps we can keep this thread non racial.

My question or observation is this : It seems the State is making sure Z is busted on something. In short, he might be acquitted on 2nd degree murder but we are going to keep throwing charges at him until something sticks. Am I correct on this? I didn't know that charges could be added so late in the trial. Is this normal course of action? If not 2 nd degree murder then manslaughter then to child abuse?

Ya big fibber. It is my sincere hope that the jury does as it is charged to do and justice prevails. Nothing the prosecution is doing is outside of the law though it may be construed to be persecutorial rather than prosecutorial. ( I don't know if those are real words, but I think you can catch my drift) If the women of the jury believe that the prosecution has not made their case they should find Zimmerman not guilty of all charges. I'm hoping that's how it goes.

The DA shouldn't be allowed to have it both ways. If Martin had attacked & killed Zimmerman, he would have been tried as an adult. Stop calling him a "child".

The Judge just ruled out the third degree murder charge and child abuse. It was a desperate attempt a prosecution that hasn't proven their case. (My assessment.)

The DOJ paid to organize all the coordinated demonstrations with your taxpayer money along with the POTUS weighing in on the case. Despite all of that the prosecutor failed to show him guilty of wrong doing, thus far..

Moving to Politics, that is what this really is and many don't want to even look at it.

There's not much legal going on here, it's 100 % politics and racial.

I was surprised by that too, I didn't know they could just throw charges in during the middle of a trial, or at the end of it in this case.

Muggs says they didn't allow the 3rd degree murder and child abuse charges. Good.

the fact that they did throw those charges on tells us they know how this verdict will go.

They DID allow the jury to consider Manslaughter, from what I've been able to gather.

Only because people have made it such. The story went unnoticed until Rev. Al, sent a clipping of it to some UK newspaper, that made a big deal out of it, so of course MSM media has to pick up on it, and just for ratings sake, add a racial angle to it. Even doctoring tapes to make Z appear racist. Now we got the New Black Panthers talking trash about coming into "whitey's" neighborhood to destroy property. I don't think that would be too wise of a move on their part. I know the NBP's are a small bunch, but some people will be swayed by them. They going to end up getting more people killed. Like you said, what a hot mess.

I thought 3rd Degree Murder was manslaughter. Now I gotta go look up Florida statutes.

Or not. Who cares any more.

please lets stay on track here. I posted about the fact that if Z gets off the 2nd degree murder charge, the State has/had/contemplated charging him with lesser charges. This thread isn't about race or what will or wont happen after the verdict. Lets limit to the fact that this sort of thing was or is even possible.
