    Meet the Zimmerman Jury

Thank God they didn't publish their names and addresses. They'll need bodyguards as much as Z.

I think he's doomed. I've sat on jury's with women before.

My favorite was the one that wanted to find him guilty and be done so she could get to the bank and cash a check before they closed.
My wife at the time was a bank manager, I actually called her and had her take out enough to cover the check so she could focus on the task at hand which was a slam dunk guilty verdict but several were concerned and they took some convincing.

I predict hung jury and/or wrong verdict.

I sat on a jury once. During selection, one of the candidates had to admit, in front of everybody, that he was a convicted sex offender. That had to be fun.

Another time, I was called up for the city I worked in but didn't reside. I called to see about it and they told me just to show up so I did. They sent me home that morning and still paid me my $15. Got a paid day off work too. Good use of everyone's money but I'm not complaining.

Why only 6, I thought juries usually consisted of 12? Does it vary by state?

In a Florida trial if the death penalty doesn't apply as in the Zimmerman 2nd degree murder case they only use 6...If it was a 1st degree murder trial that could result in the death penalty there would be 12 members in the jury

I had thought that Zimmerman would be acquitted for sure.
But that was for 2nd degree Murder.
Now in the eleventh hour they have decided to change the rules.
The jury can now consider lesser charges - i.e. Manslaughter.
                    So things get murky.

The prosecution wanted to add child abuse charges because Crayon was 17.
                    Unbelievable.

If a man is acquitted of second degree murder by reason of self defense how can he be found guilty of a lesser offense?
