And a reminder that although I have a Colonel title I'm really only a buck private. There's several ranking officers who have more power and possibly less patience for lack of civility than I.

I'm leaving this as the article has merit and in my own eyes it speaks the truth. It confirms my feelings that political correctness is bringing us down.

I won't be offended it the Colonel pulls the thread, but isn't this what's part of the problem. Why can't anyone discuss the racial situation in this country without it be racial in and of itself.

And, don't say anything about the muzzies either... don't want to offend them.

BTW, I'd love to see an honest patriotic black man (or woman) as President some day.

It confirms my feelings that political correctness is bringing us down.

As to PC it is ruining discussions in this country and actually causing more vitriol than by allowing the speech to be heard. By being PC institutions are forcing uncomfortable speach underground so to speak. There it festers and develops it's own style of rotting poision. Kinda like failing to treat a severe cut or wound on your skin. Eventually gangrene develops.

The best way to counteract uncomfortable/painful speach is to drag in out into the light of day, so sunlight can either show it for the truth or cause it to wither and die as a falsehood.

It is well documented that The Founding Fathers wrote the First Amendment the way they did partly to defend the most hateful/vile/nasty speech out there (Political Speech). I despise what the WBC stands for in their funeral protests but if their right to speak as they see fit is taken away how long do you think before the rest of us loose our right to speak freely?

When they took away the rights of the WBC to speek I said nothing.......

Anyone else notice that "Black Skin Privilege" has seeped into TV News Programs with almost all new news caster and weather people are black? Plus all the police/detective programs have their top head of the department is a black person. Black skin privilege has taken over TV. Why?

I don't remember his name but I recall the hullabaloo when the NFL fielded the first black quarterback. As for TV cops, I prefer Blue Blood with Tom Selleck in charge. Castle is a close second for a different reason.

Anyone else notice that "Black Skin Privilege" has seeped into TV News Programs with almost all new news caster and weather people are black? Plus all the police/detective programs have their top head of the department is a black person. Black skin privilege has taken over TV. Why?

I'd like to think the cop characters are to provide positive role models to inspire black kids to aspire to a life of fighting against evil instead of for it. As for news people, I'll be moe charitable when they stop assigning reporters based on race. It's always the black guy reporting on black stories, the Hispanic reporting on immigration stories, etc.
