  • Mother cavity searched in front of her kids

I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I'm getting damned sick and tired of the over reaction and outright police brutality demonstrated by way too many so called 'peace officers'. It's time to make a public example of some of them and send a message that PEOPLE HAVE RIGHTS..DAMNIT!

How about a Trayvon Martin type uprising from the decent folks who pay these scumbags (yes I mean scumbags) salaries.

    Anyhow...here's the video...

I smell a phony lawsuit. What I want to see is the post office video of the woman's behavior. I'm not one to go off half cocked, because of anything I see on You Tube. I'm not one to be critical of the police without hearing all of the facts. Was that a Burka or a hoodie that she was wearing? Calm down big fella.

Jacket or sweatshirt w/ a hood...

So, even if she put rocks (pebbles actually) in the mailbox, that deserves being jerked around by those 3 dumbasses with their heads up their asses for almost an hour and then CAVITY SEARCHED by the BUTCH cop.

      GIVE ME A BREAK!

The new cops today are in a stormtrooper mode way to often the cavity search should make her a very rich woman. The cops should be fired!
The tv video that the station posted was the same as you tube, the dash cam. Also shows that the female cop needed the assistance of the male, as she was unable to perform her job as a result of the low bar standard for woman candidates.
Bad cops, eventually, always get caught up with....

The bald headed one seemed to be in charge and have some rank. The butch and younger one milled around and didn't have a clue.

I hope they do get fired and the family walk with a huge check.

You might want to wait until all of the facts of the case are in. Cops have rules on how much force may be used on an escalating scale. If they broke those rules shame on them. If they didn't, shame on you.

The whole thing, at least as far as the video shows, presents the cops as acting just a teensy bit over the top, especially the body search business. Were they looking for a weapon? Granted, there are cops who take high-handed advantage of their authority and abuse citizens' rights as long as they can get away with it. Especially in smaller towns. This could be such a case, but I gotta agree with muggsy, "You might want to wait until all of the facts of the case are in." You know, like in the Zimmerman case, when false info got put out at first by the liberal media racist sh*t-stirrers. I'd like to know more before I form any solid opinion....
P.s.: did I say smaller towns? Like LA...?

When she got taken to the ground, there is a short segment of video clip that they only showed once near the beginning. The female officer has a hold of the woman, who then jerks out of her hands and starts to try to turn. At that point she starts trying to take her down and the second officer runs up.

The officers MAY have been in the wrong, but at this point this video is simply one side of it, and the side of the person wanting to get cleared of charges and sue the department. We haven't seen video, if there is any, from inside the post office.

I'm also going go ahead and state that is NOT a cavity search. They can claim it is all they want, but that was not. If she ran her hand around the inside of the waste band, that is normal search procedure.

They also don't have to "read her rights" to her because as she stated they hadn't started questioning her. You also have to remember officers go off of what they're told. A postal employee calls in saying they have an angry, threatening customer. They show up to talk to her and form what I saw on the video she questions why, doesn't give over her ID, and tries to pull away when the officer is getting ready to Terry frisk her.

To me, this is another example of the media spinning a case heavily in one direction, without all the facts or information. I also think it's probably a little like the Trayvon shooting, both parties possibly made some poor decisions, and in this case nothing too bad came of it, but it could have...

Did they over react if she was resisting arrest. Screwing with the post office is a federal offense.

Interesting how many say video from the police can is the other side's evidence.....I will agree it is chopped up.

Still, if the talk about giving a warning to keep her from testifying is real, they know they screwed up. That is basically an admission of guilt on their part.

In nutshell, yelling in a post office after hours and a few pebbles in the slots by the kids should stop at a voice warning. This isn't Afganistan, right? I'm not sure how I see that as probable cause for an hour of harassment.

Frankly, if they would have shown her respect in the beginning, this would have never blown up.

I am curious....why is she in the front passenger seat?

Here the nail is hit precisely on the head, JustinN. Correct on all points. What this video proves is the ease with which the Chicken Little/Tin Foil Hatters can be stirred up.

Well, this 'chicken little' saw a young mother being dealt with in an overlay harsh and heavy handed manner...taking nearly an hour to resolve the situation....walking around not knowing what to do...then searching her for WHAT! If they thought she had a weapon why wait almost an hour to look for it.

I may be a chicken little but I know what piss poor law enforcement looks like! That whole situation should have been settled 10 minutes after they arrived on scene.

If she was cavity searched, she is a better man than me; I would've flinched or something.
