Obama Doubles Down On Joe-The-Plumber Comments: Now Sees Americans As "Competing For Scraps From A Shrinking Pot"
by Steve Elliott, Grassfire
Over the weekend, The New York Times released an interview conducted with President Obama that included some of the most radical, socialist comments we have seen yet from this White House.
Essentially what Obama said was that income equalities in the U.S. are the prime culprit for racial and cultural tensions in the U.S.
+ + "Competing For Scraps"
Here's the key quote:
"And racial tensions won’t get better; they may get worse, because people will feel as if they’ve got to compete with some other group to get scraps from a shrinking pot." (See the link below for the full transcript.)
"Scraps from a shrinking pot?" This is the President of the United States talking about our nation as if we are some third-world banana republic!
+ + Time To "Spread The Wealth Around"
You may recall back in 2008, Obama told Joe the Plumber, "I think when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody." Now, five years later, Obama is warning that, unless we spread the wealth around, we should expect more racial tensions, more unrest, more divisions. Can you see where this is going?
According to Obama, redistribution of wealth was "good idea" in 2008. But now it has been elevated to a societal necessity -- the only way to reduce racial tensions and restore harmony to society.
Let's be clear -- the context of these comments is the George Zimmerman trial and the already super-charged, race-based rhetoric that is still reverberating on this issue.
+ + Stop "Arguing About Deficits"
Obama also made it clear in this New York Times interview that all this talk about "arguing about how we reduce the deficits" is out of balance. He even mocked European efforts to cut government spending. The message is clear: government and government spending is the answer, not fiscal responsibility.
Obama also reiterated his continued willingness to bypass Congress by any means necessary:
"Where Congress is unwilling to act, I will take whatever administrative steps that I can in order to do right by the American people."
By "administrative steps," he means more executive orders and blatant disregard of the laws that he has shown. Such actions are a key component of the argument I outlined in The Case To Impeach.
Once again, Obama has given us a look inside his mind, and what we find is a man who is committed to the core principles of socialism and is determined to use "any means necessary" to accomplish those goals.
