We get all tied up in issues of the day, but as a matter of the US in the global environment, Charles Krauthammer has pointed out what I believe to be the root cause of the disfavor the world holds toward the USA.

We have become the whipping boy as nations view us with disdain seeing the might inside the shell of weakness. Not just the sword, but the economic illness of supporting the world while our own house burns.

We could regain world respect by doing this: Withdraw all US troops from foreign countries and discontinue all foreign aid and "then wait".
Wait until they request our assistance and prove that they need it and will respect our presence in their country. Aid in services only, no more money for the corupt to put in their own account.

Charge the true cost to countries that want our Troops IE S Korea
No more Cash! Food and humanitarian goods only other than that there's a cost!

Reagan had it right. Power through strength! He dismantled the Soviet Union and tore down the Berlin Wall without firing a shot.
How sad that we have fallen so far since he left office.

I wonder if there's another Reagan out there. And if He is he would probably not get elected because those with their hands out would know the freebees would stop.

As far as the money saved by stopping foreign aid I think we should use that to pay down the "MOTHER OF ALL DEBTS".
