well, the U.S, and many other countries, signed an accord regarding the zero tolerance use of chemical weapons.....so what? We signed similar accords regarding genocide and we did nothing while over 800,000 were slaughtered in Africa or while Pol Pot slaughtered 2 million of his countrymen. Let me see, we've seen videos of the Rebels hacking of people's heads with a pocket knife. Killing an enemy then eating his heart. They kidnapped a 15 year old Christian girl, and passed her around 15 or so rebels, so they could enter into a "temporary marriage" with her, and rape her, then renounce the marriage and pass her on to her next rapist. They've massacred whole Christian villages. WTF do I care if they got gassed, they deserve worse in my book. They probably set the whole thing up on a movie set. And the Rebels have been caught with gas canisters themselves, by Turkish Army forces, so who exactly is gassing whom?
They are nothing but a bunch of animals, stuck in the middle ages, and our sticking our nose into it is not going to change a damn thing, except maybe start WWIII.
Obama, time for you to just back off and blame Bush and the Republicans for it all, you know, your usual method of dealing with major issues.
I will say one thing, I think know we know what happened to Saddam's WMD's. Back in the day an Iraqi air force officer said that Saddam had everything flown to Syria. I think they knew that Pearl Harbor was coming. And that's why there were no aircraft carriers at dock. They were safely out to sea out of reach of the enemy planes. We left the battleships for attractive targets, since the days of the battleship were pretty much over with. The aircraft carrier was the new battleship, as we saw played out time after time in the battles in the Pacific. Probably the last great battleship battle, was the sinking of the Bismark. Since then they have been used mostly to soften up invasion points with their big guns. Now we build much smaller, lighter, and faster ships, that launch cruise missles. They are much more effective than a battleship, with a much greater range and pinpoint accuracy.

Anyway, I think Downtownv hit the nail on the head, be ready to be shown disgusting images of the Syrian Army committing atrocities against the Rebels. Just keep in mind, all the shoot em up, blow em up, movies you've seen, and know how easy it is to create horrible scenes of destruction on a movie set.

Supposedly this is an open letter from Syria's parliament, to the US House of Representatives. If it's for real, it's been totally ignored by the MSM. I can't vouch that it's real. But it makes a very good case for a diplomatic resolution to the mess in Syria, rather than to just start bombing them. It's about 3 pages, and makes some very good points. The reason that our aircraft carriers were at sea when Pearl Harbor was attacked was because they were delivering aircraft to Wake Island. If they hadn't been they would also have been lost. We were lucky. The Japanese weren't.

The point is, is the aircraft carriers were safely out to sea and out of harms way. Japan's big mistake, that ended up costing them the war, not hitting the carriers.
I suppose they had to strike when they did though, or risk being discovered.

Again, I don't know if it's a fake or not, but it is an interesting read, and if its for real it gives some insight into Putin's point of view on Syria and the Mideast/Muslim Jihad mess. He comes down on Obama pretty good, that alone made it worth reading.
