The majority of the spending increases that occurred on "Bush's watch" were incurred as automatic increases in spending for democrat sponsored social welfare programs. What Bush actually spent while in office was peanuts in comparison. Figures lie and lairs figure. Depends on whose figures you use.

Check these figures out. During the eight years of the Bush presidency the debt rose from 5.6 trillion to 10.6 trillion, or 5 trillion dollars. In the first four years of Obama's presidency the debt rose from 10.6 trillion to 16.4 trillion or an increase of 4.8 trillion. That's 5 trillion in 8 years vs 4.8 trillion in 4 years. We haven't even begun to add to the cost of Obamacare to the national debt and this A-hole wants to raise the debt ceiling again. Anyone care to make prediction on what the National debt will be by the end of Obama's eight years in office?
