  • Why I am a Republican

Of course there are many reasons but, after careful reflection, I have boiled it down to this one most important reason:

Democrats argue over and over again for "social change" and I don't see that mentioned in our Constitution anywhere.
Republicans, despite all their faults, still fight for individual FREEDOM and FREEDOM is what our country was founded upon.

We all want to be happy but never sacrifice your freedom no matter what they offer in trade. Stay strong friends!

I will never vote for a democRAT, but I'll never vote for a rino again either. I voted for Sarah Palin, NOT mccain and I voted for Romney. But now I'm at the point that establishment rinos I will not vote. A vote for them is a vote for just another socialist big government loser. I would never vote for christie or rubio ever again either, they showed their true colors. If they're not Tea Party, I'll not vote.

Remember CJ, we must win elections. So fight those battles in the primaries but please vote for whoever wins. We need your vote. The worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat.

Get rid of the rinos and I'm in. Tea Party only for me. We have schools in my district that are 80% percent illegals now. The rino's are in lockstep with the dbaggers on illegal immigration. I will NEVER vote for them again. If you live in an area not taken over by illegals, you have no idea how bad it is. It's BAD. Those freeloaders will eventually collapse the system. rino's will do nothing fix the fatal flaws of our country. What we need to do is stick to our ideals and only vote for R's who will do the same. romney, mccain, rubio, christie are all LOSERS and I would never vote for them simply because they have an R next to their name. Actions over rhetoric or we're done.

Rinos are soft. Get enough real Republicans in there and the rinos will follow along. Better yet, work hard to help your true conservatives win their primaries so they can beat the dems. Either way: the dems are the enemy to be voted out.

I hear you both, I really do ... and to this day I don't know how I feel ... except to say that right about now I'd pretty much rather see anybody in the White House than HRH.

A RINO president has a much better chance of being swayed by a conservative Congress than any DemocRAT ever will. That alone is enough reason NOT to sit out an election.

Romney lost because millions of Republicans stayed home. It's unclear what a Romney presidency would look like, but I don't think he'd have had the IRS target Tea Party groups, used the Park Rangers as Gestapo, or abused his power in any of the ways the current POS has.

Would Romney have brought spending under control and restored America's economy? Probably not; he would have prolonged the inevitable. But I think that would be better than what we're experiencing now.

Most anything would be better than what we're experiencing now.

Actually can't think of anything that could be worse except maybe Hillary, that would suck really bad too.

This massive outpouring of public support shown to the Republicans for a government shutdown over Obamacare should boost your morale.

I know it does mine. Gives me a shred of hope that the might be an end to the insanity in a few more years.

I don't want this health care train wreck to take a foot hold and be difficult for the next real president to get rid of.

Don't say that! It's not true. It could be far worse than this, and that's exactly what O wants.

I'm a conservative first and a republican second. I would vote for a conservative democrat over a RINO republican, if there were such a thing as a conservative democrat. I believe in the constitution, in freedom and in limited government. Don't tread on me.

In the last 30 or so years I have voted FOR 1 president. That was Reagan. Every other election I have voted AGAINST someone. That is a sad thing. I get cold chills thinking if in 2014 the choice is Hillary or Christy.
