Pentagon’s Stunning Admission: Gov’t Has Held ‘Phony’ Ceremonies to Honor Fallen U.S. Soldiers for Years

The article states that flag draped coffins were carried off a cargo plane that was incapable of flight. The body had been stored, and then put on the plane for the charade. This story really got to me. I'm not even a Vet, yet these people died serving our country, and deserver proper respect Dammit! Can the Government stoop any lower?
Well I guess it can, it proves it can almost daily.

I probably would have been a Vet, or dead, if Viet Nam had lasted a little longer. My brother, an Army Staff Sergeant at the time, and I had a huge argument over it, for some reason he did not want me in the military. This was when Nam was still going hot and heavy, and I think he was afraid I'd be killed. So to keep the peace in the family I went on to something else.

Ya know, somehow I don't think that the dead vets care. Funeral services and ceremonies are held for the living.

Yeah, I know the vets don't care. But the families sure do. To put on a charade like that was just one more little bullpuckey thing and I blew a fuse. It was a bad news morning. Lots of crappy stories this morning, and that I guess was the straw that broke the camel's back as it were. That they would even go to all the trouble to put on a charade like that shows to me a lack of respect for soldiers who gave EVERYTHING. Their remains should be handled with the utmost dignity. And not just shuffled around and become part of a "show". Just another example of the dishonesty that permeates our Government. You know, people would probably understand, if they were told the truth, why the need to put on some show, that this plane just flew in with the remains of x number of KIA veterans when the plane isn't even capable of flight. I guess I'm just tired of all the lies, all the corruptness, and all the just plain BS that goes on in Government. Federal, State, Local.... corruption is at all levels. I think I'd fall over dead from shock if a government official from this administration (The President, Vice President, his staff, The DOJ, State Dept. EPA, IRS, and all the other agencies) actually told the truth.
