I don't think it is another coastal city Seattle wants to become. It looks more to me like they are going the way of Detroit, which is right in the midwest, along with Chicago. The coast doesn't have anything to do with it. The wacko democrats living there do.

Probably be a good thing to loose the west side of the fault line under 100' of ocean. The fault leaves the coast at San Francisco, but maybe Oakland will sink a bit also.
