Reid changes rules of the Senate

We had a kid in the neighborhood who wanted to change the rules of the sandlot baseball game when his team was behind. His parents owned the ball equipment. We kicked the punk off the teams and asked our parents to chip in for some new equipment. They did. We finally let the punk play again, but not with his equipment. The teams had our own equipment now.

Where did this lil neopolean complex, Plick, Harry Reid come from? Can we shove him in a hole where he belongs?
He was involved in a dirty land deal years ago in Nevada, bought land the Feds were thinking of building on, got in on the purchase then acting on the governments behalf, made sure they bought it and he walked with a cool 10 mil on his end. Why do people like this walk of this earth?

If it does looks like they will loose the senate they will change the rules back. The RINO's will go along with it. Watch.
To those of us who pay attention to politics the DEMS are very concerned about the midterm elections next year and the very real possibility of seeing their grip on power loosened if not disappear altogether.

IF democrats think they are going to LOSE the Senate and they change the rules back and they DO lose the Senate do you not believe that the Republicans will just change them right back? How will the democrats complain then?

Sure right now this change only applies to judicial nominees not including Supreme Court Justices but do you actually believe they wouldn't change that if they believed their choice would be blocked in any fashion?

The Tea Party will change it back if they are there. The RINO's won't. The media would play it that the Dems did it for the good of all, the Repubs did it for a power grab and take them apart. They are SOOOOO sensitive.

When the employer mandate is reinstated in 2014 an estimated 50-100 million people will lose their healthcare insurance. The Dems can't overcome that no matter how the stuff the ballot box.

Hope you are right muggsy. My fear is that they'll find a way to put that off. The damage of the individual mandate is done, can't put that cat back in the bag. But it alone isn't enough to turn the tide. We need the full impact of Obamacare in 2014. They have already delayed the coming storm of rate increases due to lack-luster enrollment that will happen next year. It would have happened before the election, not its delayed until after...so folks on the individual side aren't going to get nailed unil mid-to-late November. Hoping the insurance companies break rank and do it anyway, deliver them early, but who knows at this point.

If the Democrats lose the Senate in 14, the lame duck session will probably restore the Filibuster to the way it was.
I agree that they should implement Obamacare fully, and let the people get taste of what it's going to cost them. Might get some of the conservatives off the couch and into the voting booth, and possibly even cause some Dumbocrats to vote Conservative.
