One man says Chicago police officers beat and sodomized him with their gun in October 2012 to elicit his cooperation with a drug sting, Vicereports.
Angel Perez, a 32-year-old aspiring documentary film producer, alleged he was subjected to inhumane treatment at the hands of Chicago police officers. He filed a lawsuit against his attackers, but when little came of it, he recently stepped forward to speak publicly about his abuse for the first time

Of course, Angel, "an aspiring documentary film maker" immediately went to the hospital after his release to have doctors verify his claims of abuse. I wonder how he first made the acquaintance of this illegal drug dealing entrepreneur friend of his. You don't think that he might be making up this story to try to gain plausible deniability after ratting out the drug dealer. Maybe he's just looking for a payday to finance his next film. I've found that most people cause their own bad luck by making poor life choices. I'm hopeful that Angel has learned a valuable life lesson and that he goes and sins no more. In that way he'll no longer come into contact with nasty rogue police officers.

Ok, cops have the right to do anything to anyone. Innocent or not. Coerce them to spy for you and ram a gun up their behind if they won't. You want the cops to be treated as innocent before any trial or internal investigation, How about the victims of their abuse. Should they not also be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
All I'm saying is not all cops deserve to wear a badge. I hope none of us has to deal with one of these goons next time we get stopped for some traffic violation.

By the same token cops should be innocent until proven guilty, just like everybody else.

I agree, there are cops who should not be. There are chefs who should not be, there are violets in the work place that should not be.

Large cities have police departments within the police department just to police the police. Some are just so large that I think they are understaffed but eventually they will all get their just reward.
