  • Proposed gun registration bill in Illinois.

To anyone on this forum who is a resident of Illinois. I just found out that State Rep. Kelly Cassidy of Chicago has introduced a firearm registration bill in Springfield. The bill is HB4715 of the 98th general assembly. Please contact your state rep to urge them to vote this bill down. It is currently being referred to the rules committee in the House. I am really getting tired of this BS coming from Chicago politicians, who should be all kicked out of office for being crooked.

Not a chance in Hell (or Illinois) that this will pass. This is just the liberal, anti-gun Democrat regime being all butt-hurt cuz they lost the battle for concealed carry and need to try and look good for their sheeple (liberal, anti-gun Democrat constituents).

Cassidey is about as effective as Kotowski... they both like to grandstand and preach, trying to play on the sheeple's emotions claiming everything is "for the children," but in the end they throw a theatrical tantrum when their bullshit bills are voted down.

Cassidey needs to lay off my damn guns and go back to focusing on equal rights for her and her girlfriend.

Hmm. You sparked an idea in my feeble mind. If we keep the Dems focused solely on gay rights for the next few years, to the exclusion of all other issues, maybe we can endure this administration.

One of the things that makes me sick is we have so many problems in Illinois that our elected officials really need to focus on fixing them. They rob us taxpayers blind and then come begging for more money when their corrupt asses go more in debt.

Well, you could do what they did in Connecticut:

After Connecticut enacted one of the most draconian gun-control regimes in America, official estimates suggest that the overwhelming majority of the citizens targeted by the latest assault on gun rights failed to comply. Indeed, analysts say it appears that most people largely ignored the new statute, which purports to ban numerous non-registered “assault” weapons and standard-capacity magazines.

One thing the righteous legislators in Illinois should pass into law is a statute making your concealed carry license and FOID lists unavailable to public scrutiny and the FOIA. Available to law enforcement only.

Otherwise you're going to have some leftwingnut newspapers in Chicago printing y'all's names & addresses in their rags.

Done. The FCCA (Firearms Concealed Carry Act) amended the Freedom of Information act as follows:

Section 7.5 Statutory Exemptions. To the extent provided for by the statutes referenced below, the following shall be exempt from inspection and copying:

                (v) Names and information of people who have applied for or received FOID cards under the FOID act or applied for or received a concealed carry license under the FCCA, unless otherwise authorized by the FCCA; and databases under the FCCA, records of the Concealed Carry Licensing Review Board under the FCCA, and law enforcement agency objections under the FCCA.

If only that were true. They'd just quantitatively ease some more fiat money out of their asses.

The only reason they don't do that now (to pay for welfare) is to have control over us peasants.
