    Kid kicked out of shool. Pocket knife in car

    A teenager has been kicked out of school, jailed for 13 days, and charged with a felony, over a pocket knife they found in his EMT training vest, that was there for cutting seatbelts. He know faces a class 5 felony, that could ruin his life. He was taking training classes to be an EMT, and had a vest with some tools in it, including the pocket knife.


    Is this what America is coming too? You can't even have a freaking pocket knife IN YOUR CAR, that is parked on a technical school parking lot?
    Crap like this is beyond stupidity.

    Should be some sort of common sense test required to be a prosecutor.

          This makes no sense at all. I wonder if there's something missing from the story.

                All part of the liberal left to portray anyone involved with shooting sports as "dangerous" and menacing. Cannot believe the judge allowed this, unless there is more to the story.

                  There is more to the story all right but not with the kid. Has anyone noticed the decisions these lib judges have been handing down. I won't take a stand on some social issues here, but when the people in California voted against gay marriage and a judge overrode the vote and reversed it and got away with it, I decided nothing would surprise me. What Constitution? What Bill Of Rights?

                        It's real simple, we are past due to overhaul the political/voting system.

                        Note; I am trying to stay polite on a public forum! I don't want the black helo's and suv's coming to my house. LOL

                            I have a feeling that there is more to this story than what is being reported. I will refrain from comment until I hear both sides of the issue.

                              The Blaze has a similar account of the incident:
                              The Prosecutor is upset over all the emails he got over this case, so now he is really going after the kid.
                              I couldn't find much else showing anything new.
                              I sure hope he has a good attorney that will get him off, or at least get the felony reduced to a misdemeanor. The kid had hoped to join the Army, then pursue a career in Law Enforcement, or other public service. A felony conviction will make all that impossible.
