Chipotle makes no comments about firearms and allows them in their establishment. A group of gun owners decides to use that store as a place to flaunt their right to openly carry firearms, creating a national scene. Chipotle's response and position can be read in this article.

Chipotle is now in the sights of gun owners who want to boycott the store. If these gun owners are ultimately successful, Chipotle will be out of business.

    Is this right?

Its important to "villify" those on the other side, but REFRAIN FROM VILLIFYING those who resist the pressure to ban guns, but don't want their businesses used for pro-gun rallying. Its important to demonstrate that we're smart enough to appreciate the difference

I don't have any problem with Chipotle's position. The same as Starbucks. They haven't posted signs or issued a ban. I take their requests to mean "if you're carrying, keep it to yourself and don't make our customers nervous" which is reasonable in a restaurant. They could easily have given in to Bloomberg et al and issued a real ban. NO VILLIFYING

Bloomberg needs to be "villified" and so do any organizations actively supporting him and his campaign including business donors, etc. The problem with playing nice when the opponents are playing rough is that anyone in the middle gets the message that the path of least resistance is to go with the bully. But those who refuse to be bullied should be respected even if they don't want to be allies in the dispute.

Isn't the business that posts a no guns allowed sign vilifying law abiding gun owners and spitting upon the second amendment? Tit for tat I always say. Can I say tit, Bawanna? Is that P.C.?

If they end up going out of business it's because they chose their own poison. They didn't have to make an issue of the matter. In all probability it would have been a one time occurrence. I boycott everything Mexican and I don't press one for English.

After Kansas passed it's CC law, an anti-gun group went out to about every business, and gave them the no-guns allowed sign, and told them they HAD to post that near or on their door. Many business owners did so, thinking it was the law. Later when the group was exposed, most of those signs were tossed in the trash. No you see very few of them except in places that cater to children, and "family" type establishments like movie theatres and such. Most people ignore the signs, all they can do is ask you to leave, and call the cops if you don't. And if properly concealed, no one knows a person is armed anyway.

If a business owner does not want firearms in their business it is their affair. I for one WILL NEVER patronize an establishment that does not allow my weapon. I really question the commitment of those that will disarm and patronize an establishment that bans weapons. Frankly to give in and do business with folks who ban weapons tells me more about the dolt who goes in anyway. Just my 2 cents.
