"Reparative Therapy" for Gays

While perusing Google News, I spotted a story about the GOP endorsing therapy to turn gay people straight.

The last time I was in a certain Church, I read the back of the weekly handout, and a Lesbian PASTOR was complaining about the difficulties of getting people to attend her church, I was like well, DUH... I did sit through the service, but never went back. What was really strange was the church was in someplace like Montana or the Dakotas. Not some east or west coast state like you might expect.

Why do I see a gay story every day on the news or in the newspaper? Why are there never any left-handed people stories? There are more of them than gays. Why is that I wonder. Hmmm....

The LGBT is well organized, to push their agenda. plus they report what they are told too, and our current leader wants to see them in the news as often as possible.
I wish the Republicans were so organized and stood together, instead of branching off into moderates (might as well be Democrats), Conservatives, and Tea Party members.
They bicker among themselves instead of uniting. If the conservative Christians, would get out and vote, we could probably make some positive changes.
Well, maybe, depending on how the voting machines are tampered with, and how much voter fraud is allowed. Kansas is a red state, so not much can be done here, but in other states they might be able to make a big difference.

First it is "a plank that endorses". What if that party gains power, it becomes "a law that requires"? And who is the next group to be targeted?

Please check my post. I did not say it was mandatory. I posed a "what if?".

What if those who endorse "reparative therapy" come into power. It is not much of a leap for a platform plank to be authored into a law and make it mandatory. They would if they could. I would never trust a politician not to do such a thing.

The point being: What group would next need "reparative therapy" to cure their misguided ways? Muslims? Catholics? Women?

Well, this is the "politics" section, so I assume anything political is fair game. I think there are a variety of positions represented but I do find it quite easy to "stir the pot".

I'm a conservative. I have no liberal leanings and I don't consider myself to be an extremist. I'm both a social and fiscal conservative. If a conservative doesn't believe in gun ownership he doesn't purchase a gun. If a liberal doesn't believe in gun ownership he doesn't want anyone to be able to purchase a gun. Now, who is the extremist, the conservative, or the liberal? I'm going to hazard a guess that you are relatively young. I'll let you in on a little secret. As you age your liberal leanings will disappear. If they don't you'll sound a lot like Harry Reid when you get old. You're beginning to sound like Harry Reid already.
