That may be true about their tendencies and judgments, but what I like about Snopes is you don't have to care about their tendencies or accept their judgments because they source everything so you can judge for yourself. Very useful resource. Sometimes keeps me from looking dumb.

Lefties like the New York Times or CBS are comfortable spreading stuff which turns out to be false, they just say its "fake but accurate." We're in the right and don't need to embellish.

Desert solar panels were the way of the electrical future only the future was short lived due to dust. Solar panels don't work well if the sun can reach them and the desert doesn't have enough water to clean the solar panels. (I see a pattern here.) Failed projects, liberal cronies making money. Sure, but a great link to sources of information is Snopes. In the situation here we got plenty of source material.
I happen to disagree with their conclusion that its "mostly false". You could change the word "loan" to "loan guarantee" and most people would still understand the deal just fine: The government backed the loan because otherwise it was too risky for the private market, ...because they're likely to default. So add the word "it PROBABLY will cost us 16 million per job." Also I think a 2% stake is substantial, and I don't regard the involvement of Pelosi's brother in law, even after the fact, as coincidental. That kind of cronyism is how these people get rich in government. So I call it "mostly true." But Snopes facts (as opposed to their conclusions) are helpful because you can adjust the wording just a bit, make the same points, and be factually unassailable.
