You know, we have the best country in the world. Its time we stopped apologizing for the fact and protect the borders of it. If mexico doesn't like it tough crap. If we started agressively protecting the borders the flood of those just coming here for work or as refugees would stop then we could take care of the real bad guys. Bush 2 maybe didnt do that well but he did well enough that I remember it hacking off mexicos president.

You are right we do have the best Country in the world. We also have the first President that has set out to destroy it by turning it into a socialist republic with himself no longer the President but the King and supreme leader with all of the citizens including the immigrants his subjects.

Think of the unrestricted flow of drugs to our streets. Have the Russians been at this since the Cold War? You betcha, and they probably sought to undermine the USA through drugs. The Soviet agents have been in our highest levels of government since FDR.

Seal the border?

How exactly?

Does a walled or fenced border scream freedom and liberty to you? Walls and fences not only keep bad guys out but they keep subjects in.. Do we really want to become the builders of a bigger better Berlin Wall?

They have tried to seal it from drug smugglers.. every time they catch one and learn a different smuggling method the smugglers have already thought of three more.

Tried to purchase any illegal drugs lately? The grand children tell me they could get anything they wish at school.. I know that was the case when I was in school and the same when my children were in school.

Seems we would be better served to quit trying to seal the border and start addressing the employers better. E verify and other ideas. Issue a Tax ID to them and let them work and pay taxes. Legalize drugs.. we have laws to address any crimes someone may committ to obtain drugs or while influenced by them.

You cant seal the border. San Diego proves that. I agree its a big problem but we dont play tough on those coming in illegally.

Close the open invitation obama has given them for one and half will stop coming when they see we send them right back home instead of housing them as refugees. As for the others deal with them more agressively. I'll leave that part to your imagination. Like it or not were in a border war. Lets treat it like one and forget what the world thinks.

As for the social experiments we can play that too but check out how its working out in CA, WA, and CO first on the drugs. The drug problem is a result of other societal ill's in our country.

States that have passed strict laws against illegal workers are looked down upon. My state is one of them. A lot of them left my state and came to yours. They brought their kids too. Took them out of our schools and put them in yours. my kid went to school with them and told me about it. Lots of other issues about this but we cant cover them all here. I agree its tough but have to quit playing patty cake and giving a free pass to start.

I believe the borders could be sealed. A force of soldiers (Marines, Army, Nat guard) with .50 caliber machine guns on alert would go a long way to solving the problem. Our current administration won't do that...

And now in Downtown Atlanta about 6 miles from where I sit we have an American with EBOLA, Doctor Kent Brantly was brought here to Emory Hospital by none other than the CDC, that wonderful organization that loses Small Pox viles and recently allowed 80 workers to be exposed to Anthrax with some of it being stored in zip lock bags and they say not to worry because Ebola is real hard to contract.......Right!!!

Well I say that since a DOCTOR caught the virus and I'm positive he was following every safety protocol like double gloving and full level protection and he STILL caught Ebola which kills over 90% of it's victims then how can the general population be safe and told there's nothing to worry about... Tomorrow 8-5-14 we will have another victim, Nancy Writeboc who is in extremely serious condition with Ebola brought to Emory to start treatment for the virus......How would you feel is you were in Emory Hospital for surgery and they start bringing in people in hazmat suits and you find out that our Government not only allowed but sent the CDC plane to Africa to bring Ebola victims to America....This is just nuts!!!!

I think it is insane to bring people with a disease as terrible and deadly as Ebola to a major U.S. city for treatment....I'm sorry and God Bless um for going over to Liberia to help in the Ebola clinics but they KNEW what they were getting into and shouldn't expect to chance exposing anyone back home to this monster because they exposed themselves to it....

I'm starting to wonder who's side the CDC is on

We have no need to bring the medical workers here to bring the disease. It can come in on any aircraft that comes in form anywhere on earth and unless you advocate a quarantine of everyone who comes in....
