  • Mandatory Gun Insurance

It appears our Liberal friends have concocted another way to try to penalize and "tax" the gun owners more or at least make it more difficult to own guns. So far it appears four states have been trying to pass this legislation, California, Massachusetts, Conneticut, and Maryland. We need to stay aware of these bills being introduced and contact our representatives an make them aware of your support against this.

I'm all for freedom. So if those states really don't like or respect our Constitution and Bill of Rights, they are free to leave IMHO.

I though screw em until I saw the line it would require anyone selling, renting or loaning a gun to make sure the buyer has insurance.

Where do these people come from. They can't seem to think of the big picture ever.

I've always said the way to be rich is invent something and then have it made a law that everyone has to buy it.
Insurance isn't one of my favorite subjects at the moment anyhow. They tell you how much you gotta pay, and what they will cover and then it's their decision to determine if they will pay or not. So you pay, never have a claim and then when you have a claim they deny the coverage, is this a great country or what? Actually it is a great country, just quite a few pathetic losers live in it and one thinks he runs it.

how is this coverage going to help me if I shoot a BG? Or are the benefits for the BG? Exactly what am I insuring and how is that different than a homeowners policy? The devil is in the details. Face it, as it has already been said---this is a tax to keep people from being able to afford a weapon lawfully. What a ******* joke.

It'll work about as well as Ovomitcare which they obviously didn't think completely through either.

knkali if you shoot somebody in most states it is not covered since it is considered an "intentional tort". I know here in OK all insurance companies look at intentional conduct as such.

EXACTLY LZ even if the guy that is shot is the BG....so what is it that I am buying? The G wants to levy a tax but cannot call it such so they make up this nonsense.

The only good part to this so far, as been that even if passed, right now they cannot force any insurance company to sell firearms insurance, but you know they will if this becomes law, just to make a buck. I sure hope this legislature gets voted down in those four states, we don't need this to start avalanching and start hitting the rest of the country.

The article stated that this same legislation has been rejected a couple dozen times in several locations.
I'm confident it will get rejected again except for maybe California, that place is getting worse than the east coast far as stupid stuff.

The G will pass it insisting it isn't a tax, then it will be challenged as unconstitutional, and then the SCOTUS will say it's OK because it's really just a tax... sound familiar?????

P.S. we're not buying anything... we're just paying! Sound familiar?????
