The American Revolution was in a great part started because the King was taking what the colonists had earned themselves (no government assistance back then giving away what the workers earned) through taxes, was not representing the colonies, was lodging troops in their homes without permission, etc... we're not at that point in the US , yet.

A lot of the problems faced in Ferguson in post#11 are due to too much government involvement. Life is hell, the sooner we face the fact that what we want we need to get through our own efforts the better off we'll be. Don't expect help from anyone and you won't be disappointed. That and arm the public to take care of their businesses and a lot if this wouldn't happen.

Wife grew up in the 3rd world in what we would call a cardboard house. You dont see this crap over there, the people actually work together to better each other. Of course if they dont work they go hungry too so maybe that has something to do with it. We're too civilized over here. Thats why we dont have riots and looting. Oh, wait a minute...

Oh knkali, by the way I agree with most of what you put in post #11 too. G is too involved in folks life.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Want to see what will be the end of our country as we know it???

Muggs, this isn't a black white issue or a police issue. The problems in poor communities (which the G has created) is that people are marginalized. When people have to live in the conditions that they do(violence, hopelessness, broken homes ect) they are not all going to behave like model citizens. Calling it a police or race matter is not really addressing the issues. The G has to reconfigure the welfare and housing subsidies, and food subsidies, revoke minimum wage laws) Then , they stop making taxpayers pay for it. In turn the taxpayer has more money to buy more sheet. With that, economies blossom and the demand for unskilled labor goes up. That is how you fix the communities where this sort of scenario is capable of happening. Don't buy into the smokescreen.
The government didn't create poor communities the people who moved into those communities degraded them. I've lived a long time and I've learned over the years that most people make their own bad luck by the life decisions that they make. You can lie back, do nothing and accept what the government gives you, or you can study hard, work hard and get what you want. Proof that it works for people of all races are people like Clarence Thomas or Ben Carson. Hell, the president of the United States is black, though I really hadn't noticed. Not being a racist someone had to bring that fact to my attention. (I think it was Obama himself.) At any rate, I'm no one's fool. My x-ray vision allows me to see through the smoke, and the tear gas.

Can any of you liberals out there tell me if Swisher Sweet Cigars make good blunts? I'm thinking of stealing some from my local carry-out. Might grab some skittles and ice tea, too. Just sayin.

I'm not THAT bad. I guess it depends on the circumstance on how I react. If we are talking about our local police department, I agree with you totally. They are very professional and very caring officers. I don't know of anyone who does not respect them. But. That is because of them, not us. If they militarize and start acting like the wanna-be commandos and bully boys we see so often anymore, things will change fast.
Besides all that, I was just BSing.

Jocko just informed me that this poor innocent 18 year old black child was 6'4" tall and weighed 290 pounds. Does anyone know how big the cop was who Michael Brown allegedly assaulted? A curious mind wants to know. Be sure to watch the Fox News report at the bottom of the linked page.

Black man on video makes a lot of sense

In going through the coverage of Ferguson, I found a video by a black man that makes a lot of sense. He tells the community to quit falling for the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons, that want to use race as a cause of every injustice the black people experience. And to quit rioting and tearing up their own part of town and other good common sense stuff.

The page is http://www.wnd.com/2014/08/ferguson-...itarized-cops/ Look towards the bottom for a video, with a picture of a black man's face and a large play button in the middle of the screen. Man I wish there were more like him and people would listen.

Saw it too and pretty much agree. Alonzo Rachel has a say also. Jonathan Gentry's video is on point also. This incident has ZERO to to with the supposed and perceived recent "militarization" of the local PD's. It has every thing to do with a ghetto punk mongrel who has no discernible father figure in his life raised by a welfare cur aka queen.

Yep, poor boy was a model citizen, just feeling entitled to pack of cigars. Might as well use your size to intimidate a guy half his size to get what he wants. I'm sure he was just as nice and polite and respectful to the police officer.

I wonder, if any of us had been the clerk, instead of trying to confront the big lug, would we stay behind the counter, and cover him with our firearm, and ask him to put the stuff back, and if he didn't, and got in our face like that, would we be justified in firing on him? I would not have got out from behind the counter to confront some big lug like that. That seems to just be asking for trouble. I would stay behind the counter, but have a pistol out of his sight trained on him. I'm pretty sure you'd be up on murder charges if it was just a case of shop lifting, but if he got in your face and threatened you, that's a whole 'nother deal. In most convenience stores I've been in, all the tobacco, is behind the counter to prevent minors from accessing them, so did he go behind the counter and grab them? If someone was coming behind the counter, I think I'd feel threatened, just due to the size disparity. Tough decisions would have to be made in an instant. How would you know if he was just going to grab some cigars, or head on over and try and empty the cash register? I'd say anyone coming behind the counter, had crossed a boundry, and I would be feeling like my life was in danger.

I'd feel my life was in danger just going to Ferguson. I suggest all law enforcement and city government just pull out and let it implode. Probably be good farm land again.

it does seem like the more the authorities try to quell it, the more it becomes inflamed. I do wonder if no one paid attention if it went away quicker......
