The Obamaphone so they can blame the Republicans for not letting them have the good ones.
Reminds me of SNL's "Nat X" show, the only 15 minute show on TV, because The Man won't give him 30.

Since the initial incident several people have been shot, but none by the police. Just how bad does rioting and looting have to be John? Just sayin.

I've heard people say the police are containing the riots. Um, whatever... I guess stopping it would be racist?

What is really going on there? I think that someone that is living there might have some good insight on what the issues are, not the crap we get from the biased reports we see on the news and read on the internet. Take care.

Depends on what aspect you'd like insight on.....I don't mind sharing my experience, I've been in the protest area several times.......during the day of course

please tell the forum things that you are reading here on this forum that are just not correct. Are you LEO? Are you carrying your Kahr when out and about? How safe do you feel? Are the reports that are being cited here over reactive? What should we learn from this? In your opinion, where does the looting and property destruction mentality come from?

Lol my cw45 had several ftf , so I just don't feel comfortable carrying it. I carry my g26 . I'm not a LEO, just a lost prevention manager, but I have buddies in law enforcement. I feel safe because I try my best to prepare, my girlfriend, mom, and daughter not so much. The reports are over reactive to an extent. They paint a picture as if Ferguson is the ghetto inner city, and it's not. During the day, it is peaceful protesting, good spirits, diverse groups...at night time the opportunists from other areas come out. The looting isn't rioting or getting justice. It is opportunist committing crime for personal gain. Not everybody here is a thug, some are dumb teens following trends...You know how that goes with every race. 5 years from now some will realize they were dumb, as most do. I don't think the video is relevant, it just helps people paint a bad picture of the deceased, and justify the shooting. I'm not saying if it's justified or but because I wasn't there. The family wants no violence, yet it's still going on....No respect for the families wish. As a teenager, I was never beat by the police, but I have been on multiple times stopped, had my car searched even though I wasn't speeding, and had license, registration, and insurance....so yes that does occur here, but I don't think this was a racist shooting at all. Online people of every race make it about race. Blacks will say "if he were white....". Whites make reference to how "they are lazy, want no job, want handouts, etc" which is the image that a lot of people have regarding black people....but at the end of the day, most people have cyber courage. They write anything behind the keyboard, but wouldn't dare step in front of the one's that they are referring to and tell them how they feel like a man....it's really frustrating.

The media is definitely focusing on the bad and not the good that occurs during the day, which is what they normally do.

I agree, most of the violence and looting it opportunist, using the protesting as a cover to aide their dastardly deeds. The chief and others have mentioned this as well. It's the one bad egg give the whole chicken house a bad name syndrome. Only they got more than one bad egg, I'd say close to a flock.

IMHO the majority of the reason is the media. As long as they are there and reporting the fools will escalate. In my experience once the media goes home the hub-bub dies down almost instantly.
