Some good point, some not so much. Overall worth reading.

The only thing that I dislike more than the overuse of swat teams is the underuse of swat teams when one of our law enforcement officers is wounded or killed in the line of duty, because some left wing politician was concerned about the militarization of our police forces. Otherwise, good post.

End the war on drugs? Hell, why stop there? Make every thing legal and live in a state of anarchy. Legalize drugs, prostitution, gambling and my own personal favorite the concept of man boy love. We've already legalized murder in abortion clinics, why not on the street? This is a product of a libertarian mind that doesn't grasp the concept of unintended consequences.

"provide for the common defense" would be a little difficult to do without any funding. Yes, some revisions are definitely in order but "Abolish the federal tax code and the IRS.?

wow Muggs. My libertarian views are a precept to anarchy? When people are Free(r) there will be anarchy? How did you come up with that conclusion? If there are less laws, minors will be violated sexually and it is legal? Really? You think that Libertarians do not believe in the rules or laws of any kind? How is the war on drugs working for us? How is prostitution and gambling killing the state of Nevada where it is legal? I know every time I cross the Nevada border, I have a craving for man boy love, heroin and whore especially after I gambled my savings away---NOT. How about all the unintended consequences for the laws that we do have now? How is that working for us other than costing a lot of our money trying to enforce behaviors that are not seemingly working and making otherwise hard working, tax paying citizens criminals. Ultimately, can you legislate morality? How are we doing it now? Is it working? After all, if violent crime and sexual assault is illegal, we would not need to carry a gun. Right?

You cannot legislate morality, but you can punish immorality and that's what our laws are supposed to do. Alcohol ruins lives, gambling ruins lives, prostitution ruins lives. Anything that takes away from morality degrades a civilization. The states that have legalized pot are currently finding that out. We don't have a war on drugs. We have laws that prohibit the illegal use of drugs. Tell me that you want to live in a world where half of the people are walking around in a stupor. If you think that fighting a war on drugs is costly wait until you discover the cost of not not fighting a war on drugs, but don't wait to long or your civilization and your freedom will be lost. With freedom comes responsibility.
