FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Hundreds of people have gathered behind the Red’s Barbecue on West Florissant for a “sleep in” protest Saturday night. Many protesters briefly stopped traffic while chanting “Mike Brown” in an effort to bring more awareness to their cause.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR)-A police officer was shot overnight in north St. Louis County and the search is on for the suspect. One of the rounds struck one of the officers in his gun belt.
FERGUSON • A first-grade girls’ soccer game was interrupted by gunfire on Saturday, stemming from a domestic dispute across the street.
The gunshots erupted just after noon during a Catholic Youth Council event on the playing fields at the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School at Chambers Road and North Elizabeth Avenue.
Six St. Louis homicides in 18 hours may all be unrelated-----
The stretch of violence began just before 3 p.m. Thursday when at least two shooters opened fire with AK-47 and AR-15 rifles at Adelaide Avenue and Hall Street, police said. They wounded what police said were two innocent victims and killed a third, retired Army veteran Donald White, 52. He was struck in the chest and died at a hospital. Police found more than 50 shell casings at the scene."
