I read this somewhere "I don't think stupid people should be killed. Lets just remove all the warning labels and let nature take its course."
        Rest in peace Muggsy

To be fair, he said it with a smirk, as if to emphasize how obvious it was while downplaying the whole Ebola risk.

Ahh....I like that! Also explains why there seem to be so many more stupid people than back in the day.

I've noticed that too. Seems like there was a lot less stupid before all the warning label craze started.

I'm still waiting for a label on # 2 pencils not to stab yourself when they are sharp and pointy.

You do not have to come into direct contact with a person who has Ebola to contract the disease. You only have to come in contact with their bodily fluids. We need to stop people with Ebola from entering the country and quarantine anyone coming into our country from a country that has an Ebola outbreak for a minimum of 28 days.

Gee, now there's an idea for ya. You think that up all by yourself?

This stuff ain't nothing to mess around with. Ain't worth the risk.

You'd think somebody in a high up position living in the white house would think up something smart like that but I've given up hope. Had 6 years so far to come up with something and nothing yet.

On the 28 day quarantine and not having to come into direct contact, I disagree strongly. (That's politically correct speech for balderdash! )

No one has been shown to contract ebola except those that have had close physical contact with victims who are demonstrating advanced symptoms of the disease. And many who did have close physical contact did not contract the disease. Even the Dallas victim's girlfriend was not infected, nor the nurse's boyfriend nor her dog. It is a very hard disease to contract and essentially impossible to contract through casual contact.

Until someone, anyone, is shown to have contracted the disease from casual contact, I do not believe going into hysterics is warranted.
The quarantine has been implemented at New Jersey and New York airports. The only thing this will affect is the number of professional volunteers who would otherwise go to Africa to help out. And, of course, the service men and women who are being sent there and upon return get to face a month of isolation instead of getting back to their families.

The NY doctor, the latest confirmed case, did it right. He monitored his temperature twice a day. When it became elevated, he was hospitalized. I predict that no one will be diagnosed with ebola because of contact with him.

I sincerely hope your right. Still allowing folks from over there into the country is too risky in my book. Keep it contained. Quarantine over there then send em home if they are good.

No visitors or tourist until this is all over and done with.

And I think the dude in the white house should go over there in person and apologize for all the inconvenience this is causing those poor people and help along with the volunteers. It's the right thing to do and I'm sure he's perfectly safe.

As odd as it may sound, I feel better every time we have a new case diagnosed here in the USA. The end results show how difficult it is to contract or spread the disease.
I also hope this trend continues.

How about about citizens of countries who have no ebola cases not coming to the USA because ebola is present here? Maybe no travel by anyone to/from any country/continent that has had an ebola case unless they first spend 21 days in isolation? That is what hysteria and fear and overreaction lead to. Don't believe it?

                          It has happened:

Actually plants an idea in my head.

When I get my 1000 acres in Wyoming nailed down I'm gonna post the property just outside the moat with signs that it's an Ebola quarantine area.

That ought to keep the riff raff out.

You really can't base a broad absolute on a statistically small known sample.

What we've seen here in the USA is insignificant in terms of the entirety of the virus' spread, and anecdotal evidence, one being the sheer number of new cases reported world wide, suggests the premise of "hard to catch" is perhaps not the case.
