I'm not all riled up about either instance. I think in Ferguson the cop is most likely to be vindicated by the grand jury, and the riots will commence. And that shooting was most likely justified. When the SHTF over the NYC cop, I hate to think what will happen. That is Rev Al's home turf, and he is for sure to stir the pot for all it's worth, getting the people stirred up to the boiling point. If that cop gets off with a slap on the wrist, things are going to get crazy. I realize they put their lives on the ine all the time. And accidents happen, but all I am saying is if you or I accidently shot someone, we would at least face manslaughter charges, and it should be the same for the cop. I don't think they should give him the maximum sentence or anything if found guilty, but he does need to at least go on trial.

Nothing is going to happen that you have any control over. Take care of what you can take care of and let the rest go.

In other words shut up about police abuses? Just let them do as they please? Kill anyone that gives them any crap, beat the hell out of retarded or homeless people? Take all a person's cash because he MIGHT by drugs with it?
How about they confiscate your car, because the former owner left some kind of drugs in it you didn't find? Or SWAT raid your house because a disgruntled neighbor says you are making crack in it, or they were supposed to raid the house across the street. These things happen. And looking the other way, or ignoring it, doesn't help fix the problem any. Publicizing these things, and getting word out to the people DOES help. People contact their elected officials and get policies changed.

Most of the things posted in the politics section are things we have no control of. Doesn't mean we can't talk about it.

I don't think muggsy is saying that at all. I think he is saying let the people of NYC decide whether or not it's OK for LEOs to shoot their own (unarmed, innocent) people.

I know I can't influence anything in NYC. I was just saying that this kind of thing needs to stop. I don't know if they need more training, or what. Even if he had his gun drawn, he should not have had his finger on the trigger, until a danger presented itself. With a 12 lb trigger pull, he definitely had to put some effort into firing his weapon. And I also was suggesting that to keep any sort of peace, they should put the cop on trial at the very least. They don't have to throw the book at him, but he does deserve more than a slap on the wrist. If you or I shot someone accidently, we would be looking at manslaughter charges at the least, and who knows what charges in some anti-gun jurisdictions. like NYC.

I also wanted to alert people, that trouble was most likely brewing. And to be on your toes and lookout for those looking to avenge the guys death. We saw several random attacks on whites, after the Martin-Zimmerman affair, one up in KC MO. Where a group of blacks threw gas on a white teen and set him on fire, saying this is for Trayvon. I don't know what to expect after they acquit Officer Wilson in Ferguson, but I'd be extra cautious for awhile. And if they don't take appropriate action in the NYC case, then all hell may break loose. I talk to a black man pretty often, and he is telling me the many blacks are angry and on edge right now, and then this NYC shooting happens. That could be enough to spark a lot of violence. We already have this "knockout" game going on all over, and a lot of senseless black on white violence. I'm just saying it could get a lot worse if blacks feel justified in pulling this crap.

Far more blacks kill whites than whites kill blacks by a very wide margin. Watch the video and learn.The basic difference between blacks and whites is that we whites don't riot and burn when we're unhappy about the outcome of a case.

The problem seems to be that some people look at a riot as an opportunity to steal for personal gain, so to them it is a good thing to participate in. On the other hand, some groups think stealing is a crime and avoid it. Why is that? The reason there is racism is because of these different attitudes. Changes have to come from within the groups, nobody can force it on you.
