OK, I'll admit it, I'm a snob. it's my opinion that when a group of people have a complaint and wish to protest, they find a "cause celebre" , a focal point, that is worthy of their effort and intent. (something they can "sell" to reasonable people).
Michael Brown was a thug, Darren Wilson is possibly an under trained village cop, they found themselves in the wrong place--- poor example of white police killing innocent blacks, not a "cause celebre". when 93% of blacks are killed by other blacks, why is the media worrying about the 7%? other than selling advertising and getting ratings, what's going on?
if black folks and their leaders were serious, they'd be having open, national discussions about poverty, education, breaking the cycles of their marginalized lives that lead to the bad statistics.
don't hold your breath for that to ever happen. funny that an old political hack like Rudy would challenge the blacks to start getting really real. (that's more than Pres. Urkel has done.)

I doubt Darren Wilson was under trained and he had some experience. If the facts presented are true he did the right thing. The grand jury will determine so if they aren't biased by all this media pot stirring.

How the people respond to that is up to them.

Darren Wilson's career is over regardless. He's falling on his sword to take pressure off his department and fellow officers. A gallant thing to do if he doesn't want to be a cop anymore.

In that area I'm not sure I would want to be anymore either. Save yourself and then get sacrificed for doing so.

The grand jury should have had a decision within two weeks max. This was another open and shut slam dunk. Why they are dragging it out so long is a mystery but they always do.
Maybe hoping the winter weather would calm things down a bit.

Ahhh, not for nothing, but there is a 30% plus of Black NYPD, this is higher percentage wise than the population. Many are assigned to predominately Black neighborhoods.

well I guess they could indict Officer Wilson of something, then go to trial, 3 or 4 years latter when the trial is concluded, let him go. in the mean time he's out on bail, full pay, maybe getting a new life together. why go thru all of that to appease the thugs and families, politicians, charlatan preachers, etc. better to put out the grand jury findings and let the chips fall. results should be known next Monday.
