The whole time this hostage situation has been going down in Australia I can't help but think if only one or two armed citizens in that cafe had a gun they could've taken that human piece of garbage out.

The Australian government decided it was best to only let the criminals have the guns I guess.

And the sad part is that now after all the brainwashing a huge majority of Australians actual believe the situation would have been much worse had they not had the gun ban. As damned proud as I am to be Australian I often have to shake my head at what I see as their stupid head in the ground mentality.

Hardknocks, as a people, we Yanks do have millions of guns of all sorts.
Break that down to handguns, and its fewer millions.
Break that down to folks with carry permits, perhaps two and a half million.
Break that down to folks with carry permits, who actually regularly carry, and who have the mental control, and firearms handling ability, and the pool begins to look rather few in numbers.

Most cases in the US seem to occur where guns are banned: schools, movie theaters, college campuses, even Fort Hood(!).

In other incidents where citizens with guns did stop it, the media makes so little of it that we tend to forget. Think about Gabby Giffords or the Oklahoma beheading.

I agree with above, the gun toting brother and sisterhood isn't as strong as we think. Sure millions do own guns but most of them don't carry.

Canada already is. And the large cities like Toronto are over run by immigrants and refugees, many from the middle east. Many aren't joining into Canadian society and living like Canadians either. Just sayin. They'd call my brother in law that lives up there a racist too for what he says very openly about the whole situation.

They don't join any country they infiltrate into. Their plan is to make that country join them. I say no more Muslim immigrates, none at all and the ones already here need to become Americans or leave. Plain and simple............

gee u know u just can't6 say that sh!t, those murdering sob's get more protection than real citizens do. Just because they killed 142 school kids today, , there is simply no reason to bring back waterboarding, which I do agree. Looks like around 11 million concealed permits in USA from a quick googleing.
I do read armed citizen.
I am still surprised.
I feel like 11 million seems like a low all number.
I do not favor gun control.

I was in Ottawa this summer as was shocked to see these huge enclaves/neighborhoods of Muzzies.
The Canucks are 10 times worse with political correctness than the US is and it will be their downfall.
