I have no racial bias. I'll shoot anyone that poses a threat to my life or well being without hesitation. I guess I wouldn't make a very good cop.

This isn't just a pure numbers stat. Cops prefer to shoot whites over blacks if given the choice. I guess they know when whitey gets shot, the general public doesn't care, and they're probably viewed as deserving it, and the fact there will be no looting no matter how unjustified the shooting may be. Whereas the media will try and manufacture outrage by digging up local stories that ordinarily wouldn't have made national news, running the story 24/7 while showing 8 year old pictures of the black "victim" no matter how justified the shooting was.

Gotta love how the media has at least half the population on puppet strings. Telling them what to think, when to get mad, what is news and what isn't, who is a victim, and who doesn't matter enough to even run a story about.

Just plain bull, police shoot at the threat and it's an impulse, no real time to think about it. I always said, if you have time to think, you have time to take other action. The truth is today, you can't trust anything on television, the paper, mazazines or the internet as being objective. Everything has political spin. Alleged scientific studies have bias and spin. Ever wonder how both sides in a criminal trial can hire medical or scientific experts with totally contrasting opinions? $$$

Two years ago, maybe 3 now I believe it was a King Co deputy, veteran officer, maybe a Sgt or something was dispatched to a naked black male in the middle of the road obviously causing a disturbance.

The short version is the very large black male, much larger than the also large white officer ended up shooting the officer with his own gun.

The official version before it was edited by any media is that he arrived on scene, got out of his car to confront the black male who was obviously at that point going to be very confrontational. He drew his service weapon but it is believed that he felt the guy was naked and obviously unarmed, reholstered but did not secure the weapon and drew a taser.

In those few split seconds the black male was able to knock the officer down, one prong on the taser apparently missed?? don't recall that part, ended up getting shot in the head.

Without all the black/white/ strongarm law enforcement whining which there was considerable right before this I'm sure he would have got out, shot the black male in the face and did the paperwork.

I do hope your right though, use impulse, if they deserve to be shot, shoot em.

Sad though for folks like in Ferguson, he did the right thing but now has to look for a new career. For a person who's life ambition is to be a police officer, a new career can sometimes be about the same as being dead.
