Obama "winning" a second term sealed the deal for me that voting is nothing more than a fake process to make us feel like our choices actually count.

I think the vote is real but the outcome is predetermined by those who want control providing misinformation to the ignorant masses to get them to vote like they want them too. I think there was a bit of a revolution during the 2014 elections and if O would have been running he may have lost but I dont hold much hope of it being remembered 2 years from now. So i guess all that being said, it could be called fake.

There may have been a conspiracy by the liberal progressive socialist to groom a candidate for the office of President and a liberal progressive socialist media who covered for and assisted them, but Obama's second term in office is a direct result of the conservative republicans who sat on their collective conservative behinds and who didn't vote against him in his bid for a second term. Had they turned out and voted for Romney, Obama would have been a one and done president. Romney may not have been the best choice for president, but he was a far better choice than what we have now,

Republicans are kind of like thinking you have a good friend, but he's been stabbing you in the back since day one and sleeping with your wife, but you didn't know it until much later. Liberals are like your enemy's that never surprise you because you know you can't trust them and never do.

So are Liberals worse in power? Yes, but honestly Republicans aren't much better. About the only advantage when a Republican is in office is less gun control, but even Bush #1 seemed to be a fan of it.

I find them both almost equally worthless. They both only care about their own power and money. Maybe some small local politicians start out caring about the people they represent, but it doesn't take them long to say "F" the people if it means them getting rich and having all of the perks that come with following with the program and screwing us.

That's why we need a clean slate, so the old timers don't condition and program the new comers out of the chute and teach them to become career politicians and money grubbers only thinking of themselves.

Should be definite term limits although that would be sad if we ever ran across a good one.

Clean the place out, fumigate, sell all the expensive furniture. Start over, much reduced salary or no salary at all.

No jets for Peloski, very few stipends. Serve the people and go home with no lifetime salary retirement after one term.

Let me throw this perspective out there and see if it makes sense:

I can only control what is within my sphere of influence. I can control my vote so I typically vote for whomever is most likely to leave me alone and whomever is least likely to give my employer a hard time (thus jeopardizing my job security) and who actually has a chance to get elected. So far that has always been republican. Other than that, I just make the best of whatever else I can control...try not to worry too much about what I cannot control... and live a comparatively happy life. I also study a lot so I can try to understand things. And so I don't get bent out of shape about things I don't understand. "Don't worry, be happy".
