I think there's a lot of truth in that. Radical religious zealots tend to be as unforgiving of those they think are traitors to their whacked-out cause.

It has nothing to do with religion but control. Sadam knew that. Thats why when he took power first thing he did was call a big meeting, then pick some people out of the crowd to execute. Word has it that the ISIS goons were Sadams republican guard before too.

That video shows exactly how retribution should be paid back to them.That leads to the question, what one person is there that can put fear into ISIS and bring them under control? No leader in our hemisphere for sure. It's going to be ugly for sure. We may see Israel and Jordon work together behind the scenes to deal with some of this.

And let say just to get it off my chest that our current leader is the most useless individual i have ever seen In every situation he is in. I think I know his issue. He's literally and personally afraid of them, period. Just the kind of guy we need running our country. Worried about his own backside.

If you're asking about specific military strategy, I'm the wrong guy. I can tell you there is NOTHING I would not do, nothing off the table. With that understanding I would ask the military to tell me what is possible and effective, and do it with all deliberate speed. Of course the first step to handling a problem is to face it instead of pretending that by not saying its name you can wish it away.

You need to get some people on the ground, to give information. Then I guess, you need to talk Congress into letting you do something. If they give the go ahead, you go to the useless United Nations, or you skip that step, which would be my preference..........tell them what you have planned, get some support, maybe get some help............wouldn't count on it, then you go and blow the h$!! out of them. I would ignore any home country opposition.........if their in your country, I'm coming there to blow the h$!! out of them. Actually, if they could/would get their heads out of their anuses, they could probably take care of most of it, in a couple of weeks. That's one thing about our military.................there are guys and gals that are just chomping at the bit, to go someplace, and rid the world of this scum, because frankly, no one else will.

Slow Burn pretty much nailed it and I already would of done it, I wouldn't still be thinking about it.

The UN would need to find a new place for their palachial head quarters, perhaps Afganistan or someplace like that after I finish cleaning it up. We would no longer be members so don't really matter where they go.

Air Force One would be fitted with bomb bays and all sorts of cool stuff. It would rarely be used as there is little need to travel all over with todays communication capabilities.

We got a lot of cleaning up to do at home which would be a high priority as well.

Soldiers would no longer have to worry about criminal repurcussions if they accidently shoot a non combatant. If it's proven they deliberately killed or injured on purpose that would be a different story.

If I had reasonably solid intel on the location of the pilot burners and head choppers there would be tons and tons of high explosives falling out of the sky for a long time.

I'd much rather deal with it on a much more one on one person to person basis myself but that would take too much time and put too many good guys at risk.

First thing I'd do is fire all the Muslim Brotherhood operatives in all levels of government and arrest them for treason. I'd find the most trustworthy military strategists and ask them how to be victorious in defeating the Caliphate so the ideology vaporizes like Nazi Germany and Tojo's Japan did. Then I'd lead the American people to call upon their Congresspukes to vote for a declaration of war, and then we'd go fight and win it.

If our coward in chief would just call it what it is id be happy to start. Then if Jordon is ready to toast some guys id offer them all the bombs they wanted, offer them Intel, and then make sure all bombs were dropped and none held for later sgainst us. No need to send our own foot soldiers to fight id say, set off some tomahawk missled from the coast if needed.

Really everything else aside what i want most is for our current leader to just leave, period.

Force is certainly needed but so is a good leaving that part of the world alone financially and for any other reason(s). I think there should be a place at the table for Israel's Prime Minister any time any day of the week at the WH. I think we should be building the biggest baddest best trained and paid military as well as having scores of "seal" team guys from all branches of the military so we can fight a covert war first IF needed. I think we should see oil derricks all over the US coastlines. I am not sure I want to commit your grandchildren, nieces and nephews to the horrors of a world war just yet. I cannot understand why any westerner is there in that part of the world in the first place--perhaps there is more to that story though. There certainly is a time and place for a full out blood bath but I am not sure I am there yet. I need to follow the money first to see who is pulling what strings to get great Americans slaughtered.

I believe the President is doing exactly what he planned to do and told us he would do when he was first elected, that is, he would change the nation into what he believes to be a better America. Unfortunately for us few questioned what a "better America" would look like. The President is smart, not stupid, he plays with words and half truths then lets us do the interpreting on what he said. That way, each one of us pictures a better America as WE see it, not the way HE sees it. We are so tangled up with rules and laws that befuddles us into thinking that nothing can be done about it and he gets away with doing as he pleases. So if you think the President is incompetent, remember this is a man capable of playing golf right after making a short statement regarding the beheading of an American correspondent by ISIS. The nation elected him and as he said, "Elections have consequences." We are NOT deserving of what we're getting, we are BETTER than that!


BTW, the President has his own viewpoint on the Second Amendment that may not coincide with yours. Start waking up to what's behind the smoke and mirrors.

This is a fine line to walk. Our problem with dealing with ISIS is money. US does not own its own debt. And US leaders are worried about pissing off the liberal world and causing ourselves economic hardship. Face it, we may get hit here and there, and some may be pretty big hits (World Trade Center), but as long as we are not economically challenged (poor) there's no way in hell ISIS really threatens the US. We can't go over there and bomb the chit out of ISIS without causing terrible damage to a country or countries that have already been at war for more than a decade. The liberal world will ostracize the US and then where will be borrow money from??
The locals(non combatants) hate Americans we are the infidel, we are the ones destroying their country as they see it. For them, living in fear is better than dying to be free.

My idea, though it will not be popular, is to let ISIS kill or convert all that are not willing to go along with their cause. Let the nations WILLING to defend themselves do so to keep ISIS from spreading out over the entire middle east. Then when it can be determined that a region is sufficiently saturated with ISIS supporters, THEN the US can go in and make a glass parking lot. In the mean time, the US can diligently work to restrict the technology and finances that support ISIS.

It's not a perfect plan. But letting a region deal with its own problems is not necessarily a bad thing.
