execution is punishment, revenge, a deterent or just getting a problem off of the books? ( some of the right to life folks don't like execution, let them be the taxpayers who warehouse the condemned for life. ) a "firing squad" could be as simple, cheap and unceremonial as a .22 short in the ear. no drum or bugle or prayer- jus git-r-done.

I always cringe that the most anti-death penalty folks are almost always ardent fetus murderers aka abortionist lovers. My state is in the process of authorizing carbon dioxide executions.

If that is too brutal, they could always execute using global warming.

" anti-death penalty folks are almost always ardent fetus murderers" huh? that don't sound right. an anti abortionist should be anti death penalty and a vegan, plastic purses and shoes, no leather- that would all be consistent with "pro-life". on the other hand a cheeseburger eating, animal killing, war mongering person shouldn't have a problem with abortion or execution. which ever way you go-- be consistent.
sooner or later? that's the question. if (up here on de N. side) there was more responsibility to take care of "mistakes" sooner, then they wouldn't need to do it latter with a firing squad.
