What has happened to the quality of Presidential Candidates? It seems like we're scraping the bottom of the barrel. I liked people like Eisenhower and John Kennedy. It's not a monarchy here in the US where another family member automatically takes the office. We should have a Law that says Term Limits: 8 Years and only 1 member of each family. This office is not for sale!

I used to feel this way also but I worry about when we stumble onto somebody good or even a family that is good. I got no issue with mulitple family members except in this case we should apply that rule immediately. I wonder how the first man will redecorate and host the tea's and state dinners?

I could have easily handled a few more terms of Reagan. I'd take a couple more terms of Bush far easier than what we got now. At least he respected the office and our troops. That has to be worth something.

Don't get carried away..................Kennedy was a philandering lush, who couldn't keep it in his pants, and luckily, had the sweetest wife on the planet to put up with it. I'd take him over Oblamea though

It's because we believe in freedom that we allow every one who is a natural born citizen the opportunity to run for president. Should we have denied FDR the opportunity just because Teddy held the office before him? If Washington had a son RevRay would have voted for him. It's up to us as voters to become knowledgeable on the issues and to vote for the most qualified candidate regardless of their last name. That is of course unless they have a "D" after their last name. That automatically disqualifies them.

The sad part of the whole deal is to run for president, (with the exception of the current poser) you have to almost be a career politician so everyone in the country knows your name.

Right now the last thing we need in the White House is another career politician. What we need is another Truman or Reagan, someone who actually cares what the people think of their actions and the perceptions the public will make on their every move.

Holiday junkets and all the other hocus pocus going on now never happened back when the president had a concious and gave a rats back side.

A whole platoon of assistants for the first lady poser? Totally wrong, she serves no official purpose.
