Yep, there goes JohnR with another conspiracy theory. Well it's not my theory, it's the word of a high ranking Soviet defector.

That nonsense called Liberation Theology, where they infuse Christianity with Marx, was a KGB invention meant to destabilize Latin America and cause revolutions.

if you read the Sermon on the Mount(book of Matt), without trying to find loopholes for capitalism, I mean try to read it in the spirit of what the alleged Jaysus was telling you to do, how different is it from what Marx was suggesting? now the Vatican(which like any neo-christian con) is all about money for the Vatican and everybody can kiss the popes ring (or back side).
I can only suggest following the suggestion from Father Guido Sarducci, "hey, you just be your own pope".
