I'm from the NE and have now lived in Atlanta for 12 years. I agree with yqtszhj that there is more respect shown between races in the south than the north. There is also the fact that just about everyone down here carries a gun. So, I'm nice just out of knowledge of that. I have, however, been openly discriminated against because of my European American appearance. There is a rising pressure building. No telling if the good old boys down here are going to lay down or rise up.

I will have to say that the residents of Charleston are to be praised for their response over this event. It could of easily of escalated into riots or worse. They are also to be praised for keeping the race baiters away, like Sharpton and Jackson. They do nothing but incite more anger and hate, and to think they call themselves Reverends.

I lived and worked in ATL in the 80's and experienced the same thing. My asian wife experienced the same thing from those of African decent. I guess I should have protested. ATL is a hotbed for that. Its worse there than anywhere in Alabama or Tennessee that I have experienced.Originally posted by Scarywoody View PostI have, however, been openly discriminated against because of my European American appearance. .The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Yeah, it's a safety thing, you can't carry cocked and locked your 1911. Very un PC.
Well I'll be dipped in goose slobber, the PC police must have had a change of heart. Now I don't feel bad with that little ole hammer back.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!
