  • Death to ObamaCare

This Thursday and Friday the Supreme Court will rule on ObamaCare and decide it's fate. I for one will be entirely happy to see it die quickly. It has not helped the average american one bit. In fact, my own health coverage has gone up since ObamaCare became law. All the billions it was claimed to save on the deficit, where did that go? Our deficit is higher now than it ever was. I don't know where they learned their math but I don't think it adds up. The liberals of course are saying how much more it will cost to kill it and what americans will have to pay in health insurance now. I wouldn't be surprised if my insurance goes down after it is killed. With adding stupid rules like fining individuals who don't sign up for health care, it deserves to go away. Maybe if the Senate and Congress were allowed to read the bill before they rammed it down our throats we wouldn't be in this situation? Well, better late than never, lets pray the Supreme Court does the right thing and rules in favor of ending it and all because of this this passage that reads: money-saving tax credits are available to people who sign up for ObamaCare through a health insurance exchange "established by the state."

I don't trust the Supreme Court all that much. I think someone has some kind of blackmail info on at least one of them, or they would have shot it down the first time they had a chance. It doesn't even have to be real, People can do some pretty convincing stuff with photo shop. And fake emails or phone conversations are easy enough to make.
But, perhaps the first time, they caught them unaware, and now they've had a chance to explain to family members that blackmail type stuff might be showing up and to disregard it as being fake, if it is. If it's real, they've had time to confess and make up.

My insurance costs have risen about 2 grand since implementation and services have decreased. My deductibles have skyrocketed. How this could ever be thought of as Affordable is laughable. Every representative that voted for this should be fired.

The Supreme's had a chance to kill it once before and didn't. What make anyone think Roberts will admit he was wrong and kill it now?

Having said that, the language reads such that it obviously should fail. I hope it does but.......why did Roberts vote the way he did?
        cm9 and lovin it.

I hope and pray the ACA will die in its entirety. Sadly I suspect that SCOTUS will choose some middle ground that allows it to limp along. Roberts saved it once before and I was certain his writing of the opinion indicated its death knell.

Not to mention that Obama shifted a half trillion $$ from Medicare to help fund his semi-socialist Obamacare.

Under the new Obama rules, Medicare denied payment for my annual nuke stress test - saying it was unnecessary (never mind I was diagnosed with heart disease after having a heart attack 15 years ago & three stent implants since). Doctor had to argue with them to get the procedure approved.

Can't wait to see what those sumbitches are going to say when the doc schedules me for a colonoscopy next month - one year after the oncologist said he wanted another look at a suspicious spot in my gut after last year's buttscope.

BHO & Pelosi's beloved Death Panel bureaucrats are alive and functioning.

If the ACA were repealed, we'd go back to the horribly convoluted system where government rules choked and restricted the free market. We'd have to go beyond repealing the ACA and repeal many if not most federal and state mandates on insurance in order to see it become "affordable" again.

They are voting on whether the states that didn't set up ACA exchanges in their state can receive subsidies legally........................................... ................the ACA isn't going anywhere. I live in a state where these exchanges were not set up. More states than not, did not set up exchanges. My wife and I currently get our health insurance for free, paid for by you............with a $13,200 deductible.

It just galls me every time I hear a Democrap bad mouthing Republicans, and saying things like "Those death panels they tried to scare us with have never materialized." I don't know what they expect, an office in the building that administers the ACA to have a "Death Panel" sign on it?

                    "semi-socialist Obamacare".
now wait a minute, your calling Mitt Romney a socialist? Mitt stole the basics of Romneycare from Bob Dole. Dole borrowed on ideas put forth by the insurance lobby back in the Nixon days. O'Bama didn't invent anything, they just finally got it passed on his watch.
(why can't the right wing nutjobs and conspiracy theorists just cut to the chase about their main objection to Obama, instead of constant complaining about minutiae? it takes up to much space and detracts from valid gun/shooting related arguments. this is a gun forum not Fox and Friends. geeesh!)

Yep, Mitt is a socialist.... or at least semi. I didn't vote for that sumbitch either.

What do you think my main objection to Obama is?

Mitt isn't a socialist. Mitt is a capitalist. Socialism and capitalism are incompatible. By not voting for Mitt you help to elect Obama. Duh. While Romney was involved in State sponsored healthcare he didn't try to nationalize healthcare and admitted that his healthcare was his biggest mistake made as Governor. Those of you who didn't vote for Romney cut off your nose to spite your face.

Another sad day, Supreme Court upheld the law by a 6-3 ruling. This will still most likely be the one of the most dominant subjects in the 2016 election.

ObamaCare is affordable to the poor people, one of his voting blocks, and that's all that matters.

Obamacare is only affordable to those who receive government subsidies. People who aren't receiving subsidies are paying more for poorer health coverage with higher deductibles. In some cases they are paying more that twice as much as they were before Obamacare. It's all about the redistribution of your wealth.
