A (obviously liberal) friend of ours was telling us of her new adventure. She is embarking in a year-long program where she will experience poverty first-hand by living in a rural area among the poor folk. It's part of her perpetual college research and I applaud her chutzpa. But I had just one question for her: "How does your mortgage holder feel about this endeavor?" I think I pissed her off.

Tell her to give her home and furniture to the poor since she is a good liberal and believes in sharing the wealth, then close all credit and bank accounts and give all her assets, car, clothes etc to charity. That is what a good socialist does right?

Keep in mind when they say go live in poverty they are proposing a different standard of poverty than the ones actually doing it. Also, they may be thinking of a neighborhood just inside of the poverty standard in America. I wouldn't take them seriously until I knew where they were going. Of course it may just be their house is being foreclosed and they want to appear noble. After all, to liberals perception IS reality.•"Everything will be okay in the end. ^^^ you might be onto something. She certainly didn't seem to have a clue that the people she owes $thousands to might consider her new venture a credit risk.Originally posted by OldLincoln View PostKeep in mind when they say go live in poverty they are proposing a different standard of poverty than the ones actually doing it.
