  • Trump Signs Pledge

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...0f8_story.html

Regardless if he wins the nomination or not, I'm glad he signed this and I hope he honors it. His joining a third party would of meant certain defeat for the Republicans in the critical next election.

The only good that can come out of him signing it is if he leads the party back to the right. I have no idea if he will or not, but he's the only one with strong leadership skills to begin with. I heard Rand Paul on the radio this morning, and at first I didn't even recognize his voice. Seems like a nice guy, but man what a wall flower.

The threat of trump running as an independent (even if he didn't do it) may have been enough to get the Republicans acting right. Now who knows?
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Why he would do such a thing is beyond me. IF he cowtows to the establishment then he ain't what we need in a President. (not that I thought he was to begin with)

Kinda like the Republicans supporting ms Davis in not doing her job or Democrats in support of sancturary cities that wont do their job. We already have more than enough govt employees not doing their job why anyone would suggest we need even more is beyond me.

          Trump Signs Pledge

I guess he's serious about winning. Might not have been allowed on ballot in some primary states if he didn't pledge. In the end it's about delegates, not opinion polls.

It might surprise you to learn that Rand Paul is the only candidate calling for us to go to war with ISIS. But, that's the only thing that I like about Rand Paul.

“I say that you can defeat ISIS by taking their wealth,” Trump told the Fox News Channel star. “Take back the oil. Once you go over and take back that oil, they have nothing. You bomb the hell out of them, and then you encircle it, and then you go in. And you let Mobil go in, and you let our great oil companies go in. Once you take that oil, they have nothing left.”
He continued: “I would hit them so hard. I would find you a proper general, I would find the Patton or MacArthur. I would hit them so hard your head would spin.”

I imagine the GOP made it worth his trouble to sign the pledge. There was probably some dirty trick they could play on him if he didn't.

I cannot WAIT until he secures the Republican nomination for President of the United States. And, all the world leaders go, "Oh, Sh!t!"

                    Best day ever!

As an illustrative example of the perspective in play here, just recall the Iranian hostage crisis of 1981:
The Iranians set the hostages free on January 21, 1981, 444 days after the crisis began and just HOURS after President Ronald Reagan delivered his inaugural address to become the President of the United States.

When Donald J. Trump gets inaugurated President of the United States, ALL the bullsh!t stops.

With in excess of 10 BILLION dollars in assets under his direct control, he literally cannot be bought. Agree with him or don't, it truly does not matter to him. Do not miss that a solid well funded Presidential campaign in the modern era has a total war chest of funds valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Trump can, and will, spend MULTIPLES of that during the campaign. Then, in the final 2 weeks leading up to the election, when the other candidate(s) are running on fumes, he can then tap another BILLION for just that last 2 weeks alone. Nobody can touch him.

My perspective is that of a homeowner with a dangerous snake loose in my backyard. I need to hire someone who can destroy that snake. I do not care which way he leans, or with whom he associates, or what pew/carpet/bench from which he does or does not pray. I want him to do a job for which he has already concretely demonstrated he is eminently qualified to perform. The man is results based. Period.

Donald J. Trump for President 2016!

He doesn't need to spend a dime. The media is so obsessed with destroying him they're giving him free publicity, which he turns back against them (quite brilliantly, most of the time).

Nice sentiment, but how do you surround a gorilla army that is operating more than a dozen different countries.

Trump has no military experience and doesn't even know the names of the major players in the game. You don't beat ISIS with bullshit and bravado. Trump talks the talk, but can he walk the walk. The current resident of the White House was long on promises, too.

All hat no cattle? Aint we been down that road before?

If the man can not stand on his own two feet now what makes you think he can if elected?

Even try to explain what you mean by this. Trump has amply demonstrated that he gets things done. He's got more 'cattle' than anyone in the race.

'All hat' is for any of the other Republicans in the race, nearly all purebred RINOs.

I cannot be unconvinced. Donald J. Trump 2016!
