  • Petition to Stop Syrian Refugees

Yesterday, President Obama doubled-down on his decision to bring 10,000 additional Syrian refugees to our nation -- and tens of thousands more in the coming years.

Taking in more Syrian refugees, especially in the aftermath of the Paris attacks, is a bad idea. Admitting people from any nation with a significant jihadist movement is a grave threat to the safety and security of our nation.

More than half of the state governors have already taken action to stop Syrian refugees. Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are introducing bills to address this issue.

Today, Grassfire is launching this national petition calling for both the federal government and individual states to “Stop Admitting Refugees From Jihadist Nations." Go here now to be automatically included in the "Stop Refugees From Jihadist Nations" petition:

    STOP REFUGEES FROM JIHADIST NATIONS!

Once you sign, you will be asked to share this petition with your friends by email or Facebook. Please help spread the word!

    Thanks for taking action!

I think that we should welcome each refugee a 21 gun salute. Who is Grassfire?

The sooner we quit using the word "refugee" and start calling them colonists, the sooner we will understand what's going on here.

Squanto didn't tell the Pawtuxets there were a bunch of refugees arriving at Plymouth Rock, we gotta take 'em in. Nor did the Lakota say, "That Custer fellow and his refugees from the American Civil War need to be let into our land for humanity's sake!"

That's an interesting way to look at it, except Isis has vowed to use this to smuggle terrorists in, and contrary to what Obama says, most are military aged males, not orphaned children and women. I don't consider that colonizing as I would describe it as infiltrating.

Today, the House is scheduled to vote on a refugee bill being pushed by Speaker Paul Ryan that DOES NOT INCLUDE A BAN OR MORATORIUM on refugees from Syria or Iraq.

The Ryan bill (American SAFE Act) does tighten the vetting process but does not include any "pause" on refugees from ISIS-torn Syria.

+ + "Token Curbs" And "Paperwork"

According to Breitbart, the SAFE Act bill "sets token curbs against additional migration, instead of a moratorium favored by a lopsided American majority" and "merely imposes new paperwork requirements" on Obama officials.

Polls show that, by a 2:1 margin, Americans want the flood of Syrian refugees stopped!

+ + Urgent Action: Fax Congress Now And Say "NO" To Syrian Refugees

We just learned the House is expected to vote around midday. It is vital that you let your voice be heard RIGHT NOW. Grassfire's "STOP TERRORIST REFUGEES!" FaxFire specifically calls for a ban on refugees from Syria and not just more vetting.

Again, the House will vote TODAY on it's "paperwork" refugee bill.

Our FaxFire sends a strong message -- PAPERWORK IS NOT ENOUGH! STOP OBAMA'S PLANNED INCREASE OF REFUGEES FROM SYRIA AND OTHER ISIS-RAVAGED NATIONS.

Go here to send your faxes now.

Also, call your Rep. and let him or her know where you stand: real ban or more paperwork?

The house overwhelmingly passed the ban on Syrian refugees, by a vote of 289 to 137, nearly four dozen Dems voted for it as well. I guess they are not totally brain washed.

Sounds like ISIS got exactly what it wanted.

From the president, Handy? I'd have to agree with you on that.

Source, please? This appears to be BS.

It isn't that I'm particularly inclined to welcome any refugees, but it would be nice if the reason we chose to oppose something was due to reality, not the lies we swallow because they fit so well with our bias and fears.

The right wing could use some stronger values than baloney and fear.

As far as I can tell, we are keeping out 77% children women and old men, with only 23% being adult males. But if it makes you guys feel better about it, maybe we could get some of the women to wear mustaches and speak in deep voices. The male kids could wear lifts, too.

Certainly easier to not allow any but I get your point.

Most reports I've read put the expected number of refugees admitted into the US over the next year at 10,000. That's 2300 military aged males using your un-sourced math. Certainly nothing to joke about in my opinion.

There is a lot of hypocrisy in your posts sir. You chastise others for their opinions yet counter with snarkyisms and personal attacks.

I don't believe what the media tells us. They're our borders, we get to decide who enters. Japan generally doesn't take immigrants, yet the bleeding hearts don't piss all over them for it. Try emigrating to China or Cuba.

Bingo and don't write off those woman or children either. No rules.

You know you can't own a home in Mexico if your not a Mexican. Just heard that yesterday. You can rent etc but not own.
                              Don't seem completely fair.

I say keep the families together and somewhere else but here. Cold me cold, call me heartless, but like JohnR said, it's our borders.
Course I been saying the same thing about our border to the south for years and nobody listened to me there either.

And I'll strongly second this line as well.

"There is a lot of hypocrisy in your posts sir. You chastise others for their opinions yet counter with snarkyisms and personal attacks. "
