Iggy man... nobody's asking you to pass a loyalty test to be here.

Its a show of patriotic fervor. Folks died to protect your right to not say a damn thing, so its no big deal.

Maybe right now, a little extra patriotism ain't such a bad thing.

Got some folks taking oaths, pledges to Isis... our own govy can give a flyin' crap in a breeze, and police departments and unions are calling on armed citizens to help. They even asked the NFL to allow carry permit holders to carry at games (illegal in Florida, even if the NFL says ok).

I for one, want no mistake, no misunderstanding, about how I feel, and have invited others to also do so.

You wanna ***** about being asked.... folks died for your right to do that too.

And that's the problem with Islam, they do not allow liberty and justice for all.

Thank God the NFL said no to concealed carry in stadiums. I have no problem if they want to up their security posture and fill the concourses with armed security but allowing the fans to carry is a recipe for disaster. If you doubt this please feel free to travel to an Eagles/Giants game and take a look around. The first time concealed carry was allowed they would have to add a stat for body count to the scoresheet. Binge drinking and firearms do not mix.

I've never been to a football game and now that they have metal detectors and require clear bags and almost airport worthy security checks I most likely won't.
Don't recall going to a baseball game either now that I ponder it, guess that won't happen either.

I did go to a basketball game in my youth, I didn't know any better at the time.

On another note, I also took an oath, and that one ends: Against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Let it be so.

I, too, have made this pledge a few times... on enlistment and commissioning... and sworn allegiance to only ONE FLAG... the Stars and Stripes of the U.S.A.

I'm not "religious", either, but acknowledge that our country was founded by those who sought freedom from tyranny and tyrannical religions, as well. Our forefathers were of Judeo-Christian backgrounds and sought to practice their religions without persecution... and practiced tolerance and shared peace and brotherhood vs. the madman Muhammad's... convert, enslave, kill... or all of the above, which is 180° out from our society's religious teachings from "our" prophets.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I don't go to games anymore, I'm not walking unarmed downtown at night to my car to retrieve my weapon from the glovebox.

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

I took that pledge every day, Monday through Friday, for seven years in grammar school. Nice to hear it again.

I'd have to amend the above pledge to clarify I'd obey the President if he was worth a fok and wanted me to do something meaningful for my country.
Probably the same for officers appointed over me I guess for the same reasons.
They had their chance at me and didn't take me so I guess I question authority now.
That and working with violets for 20 years taints a man.

They started to allow Atlanta Falcons fans to carry in the Georgia Dome for home games but then figured out there would be mass suicide in the stands...
