What is it with this President? Everytime his administration goes into negotiations with the enemy, the enemy wins and we lose!
The Bergdahl swap resulted in us getting one deserter back and the Taliban gets five top commanders. WTF kind of a swap was that? Now Bergdahl is coming up for a court martial. Is it because the President had a press meeting in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl's parents and made statements that he would do everything possible to get their son's return? Any used car dealer could have made a better swap than that!
The nuclear agreement with Iran resulted in us lifting sanctions on Iran releasing $150 billion of frozen assets to them, they continue with their long range missile research, we have to give them 24 days notice if we want to inspect anything, Americans held hostage in Iran are not part of the deal, they chant "Death to America" in the streets. The money revitalizes their economy and funds terrorism against Israel and abroad and in 8 years of so, they can continue building the bomb. All the administration did was to "kick the can down the road", where we will be faced with a nuclear threat all over again. Yet, we are told Iran will not get a nuclear weapon during this administration, something akin to Neville Chamberlain's boast "I have conferred with Chancellor Hitler and now we have peace in our time." What we got out of this deal was Iran's promise to behave for the next 8 years but it was given with fingers crossed behind the back and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that.
Our latest run-in with them when they captured two of our boats along with the crews supposedly in Iranian waters resulted in another negotiations "win" for us. In return for releasing the boats and crews, we released 7 men convicted in Federal Court of providing technology to the Iranians, we dropped extradition against another 14 being held elsewhere, and the administration profoundly apologized for our boats being in their waters. In addition, the Iranians got propaganda videos showing our crews on their knees with hands on their heads under the guns of Iranian guards. What hasn't been publicized is what else did this cost to effect the release?
Presidential elections come up in November. It's really time to "clean house" and get a change in administration before the Iranians get the bomb.
